The translator of this work was Ṭodros Ṭodrosi, the main Hebrew translator of Avicenna’s philosophical writings. This study includes a critical edition of Ṭodrosi’s translation, based on two manuscripts as compared to the Arabic edition (Cairo, 1938), and an appendix featuring the section on metaphysics. By analyzing Ṭodrosi’s language and terminology and making his Hebrew translation available for the first time, Berzin’s study will help enable scholars to trace the borrowings from Todrosi’s translations in Jewish sources, shedding light on the transmission and impact of Avicenna’s philosophy.Islamic philosophy, theology, and science ;Volume 91.Translating and interpretingHistoryTo 1500Arabic literature750-1258Translations into HebrewHebrew literature, MedievalHistory and criticismPsychologyMetaphysicsTranslating and interpretingHistoryArabic literatureHebrew literature, MedievalHistory and criticism.Psychology.Metaphysics.181/.5Berzin Gabriella1651428MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910807444103321Avicenna in medieval Hebrew translation4001376UNINA01045nam0-2200325 --450 991085269670332120240517164433.0082478906720240517d1993----kmuy0itay5050 baengUSa 001yyAntimicrobials in foodsedited by P. But opacity is also important in many terrestrial applications in which radiation is the dominant means of energy transfer, such as controlled nuclear-fusion, laser ablation, atmospheric entry and reentry, and the "greenhouse" effect. This book covers all aspects of opacity and equations of state for plasmas, gases, vapors, and dust and emphasizes the continuous transformation of phases and molecular compositions with changing density and temperature under conditions of local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) while preserving the basic abundances of the chemical elements in a mixture.Astrophysics and Space Science Library,0067-0057 ;402AstronomyObservationsAstronomy—ObservationsAstronomy, Observations and Techniqueshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P22014AstronomyAstronomy—Observations.Astronomy, Observations and Techniques.535.3Huebner Walter Fauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut791313Barfield W.
