In The Mobility Diaries: Connecting the Milestones of Innovation Leading to ACES, he opens up his personal diary regarding his take on 50 years of mobility innovation and history interwoven with his experiences from 1978 to 2018. From the Foreword by Reilly P. Brennan: "Understanding how transportation itself evolved requires a unique prism. The core components of vehicles today have stories and engineering journeys worth their own telling, and that is what is so exciting about the way we can learn about them in this text. Dr. Beiker's curriculum vitae, from BMW to Stanford University to McKinsey, are a compendium of experiences that created this unique historical and biographical book." "Sven and I are kindred spirits in the mobility world. His view on the evolution of mobility and technology illustrates why Detroit and Silicon Valley need one another." It includes original contributions by authoritative authors based on the best papers presented at the 6th International Conference on Digital Design and Communication, Digicom 2022, together with some invited chapters written by leading international researchers. They report on innovative design strategies supporting communication in a global, digital world, and addressing, at the same time, key individual and societal needs. This book is intended to offer a timely snapshot of technologies, trends and challenges in the area of design, communication and branding, and a bridge connecting researchers and professionals of different disciplines, such as graphic design, digital communication, corporate, UI Design and UX design.Springer Series in Design and Innovation,2661-8192 ;33Human-machine systemsWireless communication systemsMobile communication systemsInteraction DesignHuman-Machine InterfacesWireless and Mobile CommunicationHuman-machine systems.Wireless communication systems.Mobile communication systems.Interaction Design.Human-Machine Interfaces.Wireless and Mobile Communication.004.019Martins Nuno878455Brandão Daniel966322Fernandes-Marcos Adérito1438370MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910760272203321Perspectives on Design and Digital Communication IV3599626UNINA05179nam 2201237z- 450 991055746950332120220111(CKB)5400000000043103(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/76811(oapen)doab76811(EXLCZ)99540000000004310320202201d2021 |y 0engurmn|---annantxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierVeterinary Microbiology & ParasitologyBasel, SwitzerlandMDPI - Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute20211 online resource (234 p.)3-0365-1520-8 3-0365-1519-4 Numerous pathogens affect animal health and wellbeing and production efficiency. These pathogens also have a considerable impact on social economics, food safety and security, and human health. Infectious diseases that originate from both domesticated animals and wildlife represent one of the greatest threats to human health. Recent studies show that domesticated species harbor approximately 84 times more zoonotic viruses than wild species. Eight of the top 10 mammalian species with the highest number of zoonotic viruses are domestic, such as pigs, cattle, and horses. Many animal parasites are also zoonotic, constituting an additional burden on human health. Furthermore, the rapid emergence and spread of drug-resistant pathogen strains pose new threats to animal and human health. Climate changes will undoubtedly alter the interactions between animals and between animals and humans, which will have a huge impact on the transmission rate of existing pathogens and the emergence of new pathogens or the reemergence of old pathogens. In this special collection, interactions of all major pathogen types, including viruses, bacteria, mites and flies, protozoans, and helminths, and their hosts, such as wild and companion animals and livestock species, are discussed. Further, anthelmintic activities of natural products are evaluated. The relevance and utility of cutting-edge tools, such as immunology, genomics and genetics, microbiome studies and metabolomics, and molecular epidemiology, in dissecting host-pathogen interactions are also discussed. This special collection provides a broad knowledge base that encourages dialogue across a wide distribution of the research community in veterinary microbiology and parasitology.Medicine and NursingbicsscaltitudeAnaplasma phagocytophilum-like 1Ancylostoma ceylanicumanoplocephala perfoliataAnoplocephala perfoliataantibacterial activityantibody titreantioxidantbovine digital dermatitisBrugia pahangiCamelus dromedariuscattle lamenesscestodecoliccommunity dogscox1COX1Crotalus ravusCrotalus triseriatuscyathostominaeD. gallinaedairy sheepdietary treatmentsDirofilaria immitisegg countsequinegastrointestinal diseasegoatsgut microbiomeHaemonchus contortushelminthhematophagous ectoparasitehemolytic activityhorsehost-parasite interactionITS regionlipid profilelymphocyte subpopulationmaedi-visna virusmeta-analysismicrobiomeMiddle Eastmolecular characterizationmtCOImyiasisnematodeOestrus ovisomics integrationovine progressive pneumoniaPCR-RFLPplant bioactive compoundspopulation diversitypost-mortem microbiologypoultry red miteprevalencePseudomonas aeruginosarodentSarcocystis spp.Sarcoptes scabieiSaudi Arabiasheepsmall ruminantsmall ruminant lentivirusspatial distributionStrongylus vulgarissudden deathThailandtick-borne fevertrematodeTreponema sppUHRMSvenomveterinary forensic pathologyvolatile organic compounds (VOCs)young dogsMedicine and NursingLi Robert Wedt1318484Li Robert WothBOOK9910557469503321Veterinary Microbiology & Parasitology3033313UNINA
