Statistical IssuesFueled by a rebound in agriculture and improved electricity supply, economic growth reached 6.7 percent in 2006–07, and is on track to exceed 7 percent in 2007–08. In mid-2007, significant portfolio capital inflows put pressure on liquidity management. In the first quarter of 2007–08, fiscal performance was strong, but inflationary pressures intensified. After continuing to depreciate in most of 2007, the exchange rate recently reversed course. Strengthening monetary control is the key to reducing inflationary pressures and reining in high and volatile T-bill rates.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2008/009United Republic of Tanzania: Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper - Annual Implementation Report 2006/07United Republic of TanzaniaFinanceHILCCBusiness & EconomicsHILCCMoneyHILCCBanks and BankingimfBudgetingimfExports and ImportsimfPublic FinanceimfSocial Services and WelfareimfBusiness and FinancialimfNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfEmpirical Studies of TradeimfGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and RegulationimfNational BudgetimfBudget SystemsimfGovernment PolicyimfProvision and Effects of Welfare ProgramimfPublic finance & taxationimfBankingimfInternational economicsimfFinancial services law & regulationimfBudgeting & financial managementimfMacroeconomicsimfPublic financial management (PFM)imfExpenditureimfTrade balanceimfBudget planning and preparationimfInternational tradeimfFinancial regulation and supervisionimfFinance, PublicimfBanks and bankingimfExpenditures, PublicimfBalance of tradeimfBudgetimfFinancial services industryimfLaw and legislationimfTanzania, United Republic ofimfFinanceBusiness & EconomicsMoneyBanks and BankingBudgetingExports and ImportsPublic FinanceSocial Services and WelfareBusiness and FinancialNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesEmpirical Studies of TradeGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and RegulationNational BudgetBudget SystemsGovernment PolicyProvision and Effects of Welfare ProgramPublic finance & taxationBankingInternational economicsFinancial services law & regulationBudgeting & financial managementMacroeconomicsPublic financial management (PFM)ExpenditureTrade balanceBudget planning and preparationInternational tradeFinancial regulation and supervisionFinance, PublicBanks and bankingExpenditures, PublicBalance of tradeBudgetFinancial services industryLaw and legislationInternational Monetary FundDcWaIMFBOOK9910822180703321United Republic of Tanzania3417573UNINA
