Their mission supports the practical application of innovative science and engineering, providing solutions that benefit society. Those who make policy for coastal and deltaic systems, as well as managers of natural resources, need high-quality science and engineering to guide their decisions. The Water Institute of the Gulf began operations in 2012 to address exactly this sort of challenge. Delta Waters offers advice to The Water Institute of the Gulf that it might use as part of its strategic planning process. This report focuses on strategic research to support integrated water resources management in the lower Mississippi River delta and includes international comparative assessments. The recommendations of Delta Waters promote a human and environmental systems approach to scientific research that supports integrated water and environmental resources management in the lower Mississippi River and delta, and offers ideas regarding comparative assessments with other, relevant deltaic regions around the world. This report provides input for research into common deltaic problems and challenges, identifies strategic research for The Water Institute of the Gulf, and suggests ways that the organization can utilize knowledge gained from the lower Mississippi River and delta system in developing a research program to support water management decisions in other large river/delta complexes."--Publisher's description.DeltasEnvironmental managementMississippi River Delta (La.)Deltas.Environmental management.551.48National Research Council (U.S.).Committee on Strategic Research for Integrated Water Resources Management,MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910820761903321Delta waters3915407UNINA04025nam 22008175 450 991063773800332120251225173532.03-031-22368-310.1007/978-3-031-22368-6(MiAaPQ)EBC7161580(Au-PeEL)EBL7161580(CKB)25793279100041(OCoLC)1356009283(PPN)268473501(BIP)87041846(BIP)86147480(DE-He213)978-3-031-22368-6(EXLCZ)992579327910004120221220d2022 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierTheory of Cryptography 20th International Conference, TCC 2022, Chicago, IL, USA, November 7–10, 2022, Proceedings, Part III /edited by Eike Kiltz, Vinod Vaikuntanathan1st ed. 2022.Cham :Springer Nature Switzerland :Imprint: Springer,2022.1 online resource (254 pages)Lecture Notes in Computer Science,1611-3349 ;13749Print version: Kiltz, Eike Theory of Cryptography Cham : Springer,c2023 9783031223679 Includes bibliographical references and index.Verifiable Private Information Retrieval -- Random-Index Oblivious RAM -- On the Optimal Communication Complexity of Error-Correcting Multi-Server PIR -- Oblivious-Transfer Complexity of Noisy Coin-Toss via Secure Zero Communication Reductions -- One-Time Programs from Commodity Hardware -- Universal Reductions: Reductions Relative to Stateful Oracles -- Permissionless Clock Synchronization with Public Setup -- Beyond Uber: Instantiating Generic Groups via PGGs. .The three-volume set LNCS 13747, LNCS 13748 and LNCS 13749 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Theory of Cryptography, TCC 2022, held in Chicago, IL, USA, in November 2022.
