Grundeken’s thematic study deals with various topics: the community’s identity, including its (alleged) ‘Jewish Christianness’, (lack of) resurrection belief, sectarian tendencies and its relation to the authorities and to the emperor cult; social features, encompassing gender roles and charity; and rituals such as baptism, metanoia , Eucharistic meals, the Sunday collection, dancing (and singing), the ‘holy kiss’ and reading of Scripture. The many fruitful entries prove Hermas to be one of the main texts for studying the development of community building in the early church.Supplements to Vigiliae Christianae ;Volume 131.CommunitiesReligious aspectsChristianityCommunitiesReligious aspectsChristianity.229.93Grundeken Mark1984-1610956MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910813333603321Community building in the Shepherd of Hermas3938927UNINA04103nam 2200697 a 450 991096108760332120240514030230.01-283-28021-3978661328021390-272-8175-0(CKB)2670000000113680(EBL)765843(OCoLC)748242177(SSID)ssj0000830823(PQKBManifestationID)11440033(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000830823(PQKBWorkID)10821270(PQKB)10521804(MiAaPQ)EBC765843(Au-PeEL)EBL765843(CaPaEBR)ebr10495920(CaONFJC)MIL328021(DE-B1597)719569(DE-B1597)9789027281753(EXLCZ)99267000000011368019931028d1994 uy 0engurcn|||||||||txtccrLanguage acquisition studies in generative grammar papers in honor of Kenneth Wexler from the 1991 GLOW workshops /edited by Teun Hoekstra, Bonnie D. In line with current methodology in the study of adult grammars, language acquisition is studied here from a comparative perspective. The unifying theme is the issue of the 'initial state' of grammatical knowledge: For native language, the important controversy is that between the Continuity approach, which holds that Universal Grammar is essentially constant throughout development, and the Maturation approach, which maintains that portions of UG are subject to matureLanguage acquisition & language disorders ;v. 8.Language acquisitionGenerative grammarGrammar, Comparative and generalSyntaxLanguage acquisition.Generative grammar.Grammar, Comparative and generalSyntax.401/.93Wexler Kenneth51244Hoekstra Teun713375Schwartz Bonnie D1801206GLOW Conference(14th :1991 :Leiden University)MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910961087603321Language acquisition studies in generative grammar4374197UNINA
