Einen Schwerpunkt bildet die Literaturkritik von Goethe bis zur Gegenwart. Gefragt wird zudem nach der Korrelation von literarischer Kommunikation und Ökonomie, nach kulturpoetischen Kontextualisierungsmodellen, dem Verhältnis von Literatur und Film sowie nach Lern- und Bildungsprozessen. Eine besondere Herausforderung stellt die Untersuchung literarischer Kommunikationsprozesse dar, die sich auf Antisemitismus und Krieg beziehen.
