Conceptual designs were developed with superconducting tapes cooled by liquid nitrogen and arranged in bifilar coils. A cryostat was designed using FEM simulations taking into account the non-linear voltage distribution. For the complete system including current limiting reactors and cooling system, the investment and operation costs were calculated.SuperconductorsIndustrial applicationsElectric power systemsProtectionElectric power transmissionEconomic aspectsTechnical reports.lcgftSuperconductorsIndustrial applications.Electric power systemsProtection.Electric power transmissionEconomic aspects.621.3815Noe Mathias1893763Humpert ChistofDe Sousa WescleyFink StefanHerzog FriedhelmHuwer StefanNießen MarvinPfaller SebastianPöhler StephanRodler TobiasSchmid AndréArndt TabeaBOOK9910805667303321380 kV Superconducting Fault Current Limiter Feasibility Study4542997UNINA
