He argues that the complex nature of the formulaic quotations and allusion in Matthew 1‒2 can be understood in light of new methodological insights. The way Matthew cites the Old Testament for his communicative purpose is congruent to the approach of a Skopos translator who is motivated by a specific purpose of translation. The theory of interpretation of his use of Scripture, therefore, can be informed by the theory and method of translation.Linguistic biblical studies ;Volume 15.Translating and interpretingTranslating and interpreting.226.2/066Chung W(Woojin),MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910796684203321Translation theory and the Old Testament in Matthew3784682UNINA01139nam0 22002891i 450 UON0052072420240219011659.77720231129d1974 |0itac50 baengGB|||| |||||Power: a radical viewSteven LukesLondonMacmillan publishers197464 p.21 cmDonazione prof.ssa Amalia SignorelliIT-UONSI F.
