The foundation for this analysis is the different ways in which Marxists have understood war and military strategy since the mid-nineteenth century. In doing so, Egan argues that the distinction between war of position and war of maneuver which is so central to Gramsci’s work as well as contemporary interpretations of his work must be understood in a more dialectical manner. This conclusion is important not only in terms of Gramsci’s social theory, but also for understanding the limits and possibilities of contemporary political strategies for the left worldwide.Studies in Critical Social Sciences94.Military art and sciencePhilosophyManeuver warfarePhilosophy, MarxistCommunist strategyCommunist strategyfastManeuver warfarefastMilitary art and sciencefastPhilosophy, MarxistfastCriticism, interpretation, etc.fastMilitary art and scienceManeuver warfare.Philosophy, Marxist.Communist strategy.Communist strategy.Maneuver warfare.Military art and science.Philosophy, Marxist.355.001Egan Daniel1963-1545475NL-LeKBNL-LeKBBOOK9910798609503321The dialectic of position and maneuver3800419UNINA03037oam 2200541 450 991079590270332120170523091603.01-4522-3568-61-4522-2422-6(OCoLC)865544990(MiFhGG)GVRL6RIO(EXLCZ)99378000000005631120101214d2011 uy 0engurun|---uuuuatxtccrActive lessons for active brains teaching boys and other experiential learners, grades 3-10 /Abigail Norfleet James, Sandra Boyd Allison, Caitlin Zimmerman McKenzieThousand Oaks, Calif. :Corwin Press,2011.1 online resource (xiii, 232 pages) illustrationsGale eBooksMachine generated contents note: AcknowledgmentsAbout the AuthorsIntroduction1. These lessons are based on James' gender research and are applicable for both coed and all male classrooms. Grammar, literacy, algebra, and geometry lesson plans cover the subjects where boys' brains differ the most from their female classmates. These lesson plans offer specific strategies for improving the subject areas where boys often fall behind in by identifying a common weakness of typical boy learners, describing a strategy for working on this weakness, then providing specific examples of that strategy in action"-- Provided by publisher.Experiential learningActive learningLearning, Psychology ofBoysEducationSex differences in educationExperiential learning.Active learning.Learning, Psychology of.BoysEducation.Sex differences in education.371.39EDU029000bisacshJames Abigail Norfleet1463571Allison Sandra BoydMcKenzie Caitlin ZimmermanMiFhGGMiFhGGBOOK9910795902703321Active lessons for active brains3736322UNINA
