Since the outbreak of the financial crisis, some Austrian credit institutions had to be nationalized as an ad hoc measure to prevent contagion effects and to preserve financial stability. Bank capital ratios are improving but still lag behind other internationally active banks. Bank profits have been affected by low net interest income and risk provisioning reflecting higher nonperforming loans ratios. Austrian banks’ funding structure is relatively stable, and financing conditions have improved since the peak of the crisis.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2014/013Banks and banking, InternationalBanks and bankingInternational financeAccountingimfBanks and BankingimfPublic FinanceimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfPublic AdministrationimfPublic Sector Accounting and AuditsimfFinancing PolicyimfFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementimfCapital and Ownership StructureimfValue of FirmsimfGoodwillimfTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: GeneralimfAuditingimfBankingimfManagement accounting & bookkeepingimfFinancial services law & regulationimfFinancial reporting, financial statementsimfPublic finance & taxationimfInternal auditimfMarket riskimfFinancial statementsimfLegal support in revenue administrationimfPublic financial management (PFM)imfFinancial regulation and supervisionimfRevenue administrationimfCredit riskimfBanks and bankingimfAuditing, InternalimfFinancial risk managementimfFinance, PublicimfRevenueimfAustriaimfBanks and banking, International.Banks and banking.International finance.AccountingBanks and BankingPublic FinanceBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesPublic AdministrationPublic Sector Accounting and AuditsFinancing PolicyFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementCapital and Ownership StructureValue of FirmsGoodwillTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: GeneralAuditingBankingManagement accounting & bookkeepingFinancial services law & regulationFinancial reporting, financial statementsPublic finance & taxationInternal auditMarket riskFinancial statementsLegal support in revenue administrationPublic financial management (PFM)Financial regulation and supervisionRevenue administrationCredit riskBanks and bankingAuditing, InternalFinancial risk managementFinance, PublicRevenue332.15DcWaIMFBOOK9910789008603321Austria674739UNINA
