Description of Sources and Transformation""; ""REFERENCES""This paper analyzes Zimbabwe's export performance in recent years and identifies the factors that could improve export performance, from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective. Improving export performance is critical to a turnaround in Zimbabwe's economic situation. The growth rate of total exports declined dramatically in the early 2000s, following a large real appreciation of the currency and the introduction of the fast-track land reform program. An important finding of the paper is that policies that reduce (eliminate) the parallel market premium and lower ethnic tensions would be key to promoting export growth.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2006/028ExportsZimbabweEconometric modelsInternational tradeEconometric modelsExports and ImportsimfForeign ExchangeimfMultiple or Simultaneous Equation Models: Models with Panel DataimfModels of Trade with Imperfect Competition and Scale EconomiesimfFormal and Informal SectorsimfShadow EconomyimfInstitutional ArrangementsimfDevelopment Planning and Policy: Trade PolicyimfFactor MovementimfForeign Exchange PolicyimfNatural Resources and Domestic and International ConflictsimfTrade: GeneralimfCurrencyimfForeign exchangeimfInternational economicsimfReal exchange ratesimfExportsimfExport performanceimfExchange ratesimfMultiple currency practicesimfInternational tradeimfZimbabweimfExportsEconometric models.International tradeEconometric models.Exports and ImportsForeign ExchangeMultiple or Simultaneous Equation Models: Models with Panel DataModels of Trade with Imperfect Competition and Scale EconomiesFormal and Informal SectorsShadow EconomyInstitutional ArrangementsDevelopment Planning and Policy: Trade PolicyFactor MovementForeign Exchange PolicyNatural Resources and Domestic and International ConflictsTrade: GeneralCurrencyForeign exchangeInternational economicsReal exchange ratesExportsExport performanceExchange ratesMultiple currency practicesInternational tradeMuñoz Sònia1462064International Monetary Fund.African Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910788519303321Zimbabwe's Export Performance3670916UNINA
