In addition to the five genetics symposia held at 5-year intervals since 1985, the collection contains classic publications that kicked off significant reporting on these subjects in the early 1960's. This collection is a comprehensive and historical documentation on the subject of rice genetics, spanning 45 years of research and scholarly work. AN ALTERNATIVE MODEL WITH PN FLEXIBLE""; ""REFERENCES""International trade theory has pointed out that factor accumulation could immiserize a country if it is sufficiently biased toward the export sector, or if it is biased toward an importcompeting sector in the presence of tariff protection. This paper analyzes the impact of aid, in the form of an increase in the capital stock used only in the nontraded sector, on real income. Yano and Nugent (1999) discussed this issue, but their analysis turned out to be incorrect. This paper demonstrates that whether aid in the form of an increase in capital specific to the nontraded sector reduces welfare depends on how aid affects the price of the nontraded good and on whether imports and the nontraded good are substitutes or complements in demand.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2006/129Economic assistanceInternational economic relationsEconometricsimfExports and ImportsimfInflationimfMacroeconomicsimfTaxationimfTrade: GeneralimfTrade PolicyimfInternational Trade OrganizationsimfLabor Economics: GeneralimfPrice LevelimfDeflationimfClassification MethodsimfCluster AnalysisimfPrincipal ComponentsimfFactor ModelsimfInternational economicsimfPublic finance & taxationimfLabourimfincome economicsimfEconometrics & economic statisticsimfImportsimfTariffsimfLaborimfFactor modelsimfTariffimfLabor economicsimfPricesimfEconometric modelsimfEconomic assistance.International economic relations.EconometricsExports and ImportsInflationMacroeconomicsTaxationTrade: GeneralTrade PolicyInternational Trade OrganizationsLabor Economics: GeneralPrice LevelDeflationClassification MethodsCluster AnalysisPrincipal ComponentsFactor ModelsInternational economicsPublic finance & taxationLabourincome economicsEconometrics & economic statisticsImportsTariffsLaborFactor modelsTariffLabor economicsPricesEconometric modelsTokarick Stephen1463964International Monetary Fund.Research Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910788416503321Immiserizing Foreign Aid3802301UNINA
