In particular, regulatory reforms pertaining to loan classification and provisioning as well as liquidity requirements are reviewed and evaluated against best practices. The paper concludes that prudential regulation in Uruguay now generally conforms to high standards while also embracing innovative elements such as dynamic provisioning.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2009/199Banks and bankingState supervisionUruguayLiquidity (Economics)Banks and BankingimfMoney and Monetary PolicyimfIndustries: Financial ServicesimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfFinancial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and RegulationimfMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralimfFinancing PolicyimfFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementimfCapital and Ownership StructureimfValue of FirmsimfGoodwillimfFinancial services law & regulationimfFinanceimfMonetary economicsimfLoansimfCreditimfCredit riskimfLoan classificationimfLiquidity requirementsimfFinancial institutionsimfMoneyimfFinancial regulation and supervisionimfBanks and bankingimfState supervisionimfFinancial risk managementimfUruguayimfBanks and bankingState supervisionLiquidity (Economics)Banks and BankingMoney and Monetary PolicyIndustries: Financial ServicesBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesFinancial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and RegulationMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralFinancing PolicyFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementCapital and Ownership StructureValue of FirmsGoodwillFinancial services law & regulationFinanceMonetary economicsLoansCreditCredit riskLoan classificationLiquidity requirementsFinancial institutionsMoneyFinancial regulation and supervisionBanks and bankingState supervisionFinancial risk managementWezel Torsten1117600Mansilla Mario1117599Adler Gustavo1474661International Monetary Fund.Monetary and Capital Markets Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910788227403321Modernizing Bank Regulation in Support of Financial Deepening3741578UNINA
