It finds that investment in intangible capital by 2002 is almost as large as the investment in physical capital. This result is in line with similar findings for the U.S. and the U.K. Furthermore, the growth in GDP and labor productivity may be underestimated by as much as 0.1 percentage point per year during this same period.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2009/240Gross domestic productCanadaEconometric modelsLabor productivityCanadaEconometric modelsInvestmentsCanadaEconometric modelsInvestments: GeneralimfMacroeconomicsimfPublic FinanceimfData ProcessingimfDatabasesimfNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralimfGeneral Aggregative Models: GeneralimfData Collection and Data Estimation MethodologyimfComputer Programs: GeneralimfInvestmentimfCapitalimfIntangible CapitalimfCapacityimfPublic finance & taxationimfData capture & analysisimfExpenditureimfNational accountsimfData collectionimfIntangible capitalimfData processingimfExpenditures, PublicimfNational incomeimfEconomic statisticsimfSaving and investmentimfElectronic data processingimfCanadaimfGross domestic productEconometric models.Labor productivityEconometric models.InvestmentsEconometric models.Investments: GeneralMacroeconomicsPublic FinanceData ProcessingDatabasesNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralGeneral Aggregative Models: GeneralData Collection and Data Estimation MethodologyComputer Programs: GeneralInvestmentCapitalIntangible CapitalCapacityPublic finance & taxationData capture & analysisExpenditureNational accountsData collectionIntangible capitalData processingExpenditures, PublicNational incomeEconomic statisticsSaving and investmentElectronic data processingBelhocine Nazim1087661International Monetary Fund.Western Hemisphere Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910788224803321Treating Intangible Inputs as Investment Goods3741552UNINA
