When instead one of the interlocutors is a computer a number of questions arise, such as the following: To what extent are dialogue systems able to simulate such behaviors? Can we learn the mechanisms of emotional be- viors from observing and analyzing the behavior of human speakers? How can emotionsbeautomaticallyrecognizedfromauser’smimics, gesturesandspeech? What possibilities does a dialogue system have to express emotions itself? And, very importantly, would emotional system behavior be desirable at all? Given the state of ongoing research into incorporating emotions in dialogue systems we found it timely to organize a Tutorial and Research Workshop on A?ectiveDialogueSystems(ADS2004)atKlosterIrseein GermanyduringJune 14–16, 2004. After two successful ISCA Tutorial and Research Workshops on Multimodal Dialogue Systems at the same location in 1999 and 2002, we felt that a workshop focusing on the role of a?ect in dialogue would be a valuable continuation of the workshop series. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, the workshop attracted submissions from researchers with very di?erent backgrounds and from many di?erent research areas, working on, for example, dialogue processing, speech recognition, speech synthesis, embodied conversational agents, computer graphics, animation, user modelling, tutoring systems, cognitive systems, and human-computer inter- tion.Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence ;3068Artificial intelligenceNatural language processing (Computer science)User interfaces (Computer systems)Multimedia information systemsApplication softwareArtificial Intelligencehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000Natural Language Processing (NLP)https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21040User Interfaces and Human Computer Interactionhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18067Multimedia Information Systemshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18059Information Systems Applications (incl. Accounting scandals often have catastrophic consequences for shareholders and employees. Thus, analysts and auditors must be equipped to detect accounting fraud. This book is a comprehensive guide to detecting accounting fraud for auditors investigating accounting fraud and analysts/managers seeking to prevent it. A wide variety of warning signs are described, as are several techniques for detecting and addressing fraud. Understand the motivations and warning signs behind accounting fraud Get to know how accounting fraud is done and how to detect it Avoid the losses that often come from accounting fraud Benefit from case studies throughout to that help illustrate the author's points It’s unfortunate that managers, auditors, and analysts must be wary of accounting fraud—but this book equips you with the know-how to detect it before it’s too late.Accounting fraudAccounting fraud.658.473336.9njb/09658.4/73njb/09Amat Oriol278129MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910793435303321Detecting accounting fraud before it's too late2613164UNINA02916oam 2200637Mn 450 991078756990332120211215042403.00-429-16800-41-4665-8825-X10.1201/b16118 (CKB)2670000000394810(EBL)1408050(SSID)ssj0001140669(PQKBManifestationID)11993279(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001140669(PQKBWorkID)11240076(PQKB)11462565(MiAaPQ)EBC1408050(OCoLC)868795684(OCoLC)1140431710(OCoLC-P)1140431710(FlBoTFG)9780429168000(OCoLC)1058331353(OCoLC-P)1058331353(CaSebORM)9781466588257(EXLCZ)99267000000039481020190103d2017 uy 0engur|n|||||||||txtccrDictionary of oil, gas, and petrochemical processing[Place of publication not identified]CRC Press20171 online resource (480 p.)Description based upon print version of record.1-138-43450-7 1-4665-8826-8 Front Cover; Preface; Authors; Chapter 1: A; Chapter 2: B; Chapter 3: C; Chapter 4: D; Chapter 5: E; Chapter 6: F; Chapter 7: G; Chapter 8: H; Chapter 9: I; Chapter 10: J; Chapter 11: K; Chapter 12: L; Chapter 13: M; Chapter 14: N; Chapter 15: O; Chapter 16: P; Chapter 17: Q; Chapter 18: R; Chapter 19: S; Chapter 20: T; Chapter 21: U; Chapter 22: V; Chapter 23: W; Chapter 24: X; Chapter 25: Y; Chapter 26: Z; Back CoverIn industry, miscommunication can cause frustration, create downtime, and even trigger equipment failure.
