DB2 Cube Views and its cube model provide DB2 the ability to address multidimensional analysis and become an actor in the OLAP world. This IBM Redbooks publication focuses on the innovative technical functionalities of IBM DB2 Cube Views V8.1 to store multidimensional metadata in DB2 catalog; to build automatically model-based summary tables to speed up query performance; and to provide an advanced API to allow other Business Intelligence partners’ tools to benefit from both metadata exchange and improved query performance. This book positions the new functionalities and their benefits, so you can understand and evaluate their applicability in your own Business Intelligence and OLAP system environment. It provides information and examples to help you to get started planning and implementing the new functionalities.IBM redbooks.Relational databasesOLAP technologyRelational databases.OLAP technology.005.75/65Baragoin Corinne1507617International Business Machines Corporation.International Technical Support Organization.MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910783279403321DB2 Cube Views3738503UNINA03015nam 2200589 450 991080866090332120200520144314.01-78570-261-01-78570-263-7(CKB)3710000001058143(MiAaPQ)EBC4810943(Au-PeEL)EBL4810943(CaPaEBR)ebr11350614(OCoLC)948961374(EXLCZ)99371000000105814320170309h20162016 uy 0engurcnu||||||||rdacontentrdamediardacarrierPreserved in the peat an extraordinary Bronze Age burial on Whitehorse Hill, Dartmoor, and its wider context /Andy M. The cremated remains of a young person had been placed within a bearskin pelt and provided with a basketry container, from which a braided band with tin studs had spilled out. Within the container were beads of shale, amber, clay and tin; two pairs of turned wooden studs and a worked flint flake. A unique item, possibly a sash or band, made from textile and animal skin was found beneath the container. Beneath this, the basal stone of the cist had been covered by a layer purple moor grass which had been collected in summer. Analysis of environmental material from the site has revealed important insights into the pyre material used to burn the body, as well as providing important information about the environment in which the cist was constructed. The unparalleled assemblage of organic objects has yielded insights into a range of materials which have not survived from the earlier Bronze Age elsewhere in southern Britain"--From publisher's website.Bronze ageEnglandDartmoorPrehistoric peoplesEnglandDartmoorBurialEnglandDartmoorHistoryTo 1500Grave goodsEnglandDartmoorHistoryTo 1500Material cultureEnglandDartmoorHistoryTo 1500Excavations (Archaeology)EnglandDartmoorPeatEnglandDartmoorDartmoor (England)AntiquitiesBronze agePrehistoric peoplesBurialHistoryGrave goodsHistoryMaterial cultureHistoryExcavations (Archaeology)Peat936.2Jones Andy M.592223MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910808660903321Preserved in the peat3938200UNINA
