By piecing together these strands of implicit evidence the author attempts to reconstruct the basic norms of the Israelite votive system. In so doing, he explains why certain 'popular religious groups' were attracted to this particular practiceJournal for the study of the Old Testament.Supplement series ;210.Vows in the BibleSociology, BiblicalVows in the Bible.Sociology, Biblical.221296.72Berlinerblau Jacques1544606MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910782212603321The vow and the "popular religious groups" of ancient Israel3798993UNINA
