For someone directing a "small" academic institution he has managed during his academic career to guide and influence a strikingly large number of students in their scholarly pursuits in the field. The collected essays of this volume encompass quite a variety of topics, whereby the focal points in Peter Schäfer's own research are not difficult to recognize in the themes chosen by his former students: mysticism and magic are most conspicuous, followed by Rabbinic Judaism and the studies on the Middle Ages and the Early Modern and Modern Periods. Of note is also the fact that the methodological approaches of these contributions are no less manifold than their themes. Part of the contributions of this book were submitted in English, and all the German-language texts have an English summary or abstract.Papers in Honor of Peter Schäfer on the Occasion of His 60th BirthdayJudaismHistoryMysticismJudaismRabbinical literatureHistory and criticismJudaismHistory.MysticismJudaism.Rabbinical literatureHistory and criticism.296/.09Herrmann KlausVeltri GiuseppeSchlüter MargareteNL-LeKBNL-LeKBBOOK9910783202503321Jewish Studies Between the Disciplines3733375UNINA03015nam 2200685Ia 450 991078182250332120230721032153.00-7486-5297-31-281-25213-197866112521370-7486-3173-910.1515/9780748631735(CKB)1000000000485921(EBL)334900(OCoLC)437203023(SSID)ssj0000220925(PQKBManifestationID)11219078(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000220925(PQKBWorkID)10160664(PQKB)10279090(StDuBDS)EDZ0000055730(MiAaPQ)EBC334900(Au-PeEL)EBL334900(CaPaEBR)ebr10221805(CaONFJC)MIL125213(DE-B1597)616488(DE-B1597)9780748631735(OCoLC)1312726466(EXLCZ)99100000000048592120080109d2007 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrPhilosophising in Mombasa[electronic resource] knowledge, Islam and intellectual practice on the Swahili coast /Kai KresseEdinburgh Edinburgh University Press for the International African Institutec20071 online resource (305 p.)International African library ;35Description based upon print version of record.0-7486-2786-3 Includes bibliographical references and index.Contents; List of Maps and Figures; Preface and Acknowledgements; Sources; About the Author; Maps; Prologue; Part I; Chapter 1; Chapter 2; Chapter 3; Part II; Chapter 4; Chapter 5; Chapter 6; Part III; Chapter 7; Epilogue; Appendix 1; Appendix 2; Notes; Bibliography; IndexPhilosophising in Mombasa provides an approach to the anthropological study of philosophical discourses in the Swahili context of Mombasa, Kenya. In this historically established Muslim environment, at the dawn of the twenty-first century, philosophy is investigated as social discourse and intellectual practice, situated in everyday life. This is done from the perspective of an 'anthropology of philosophy', a project which is spelled out in the opening chapter. Entry-points and guidelines for the ethnography are provided by discussions of Swahili literary genres, life histories, and social debInternational African library ;35.PhilosophyKenyaMombasaPhilosophical anthropologyKenyaMombasaMombasa (Kenya)Intellectual lifePhilosophyPhilosophical anthropology306.096762Kresse Kai739337International African Institute.MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910781822503321Philosophising in Mombasa3815632UNINA01178nam0 22002773i 450 VAN007631620240328111621.51978-88-387-5542-620100722d2010 |0itac50 baitaIT|||| |||||Impianti di raccolta e scarico acqueMatteo Fiori, Fulvio Re CecconiSantarcangelo di RomagnaMaggioli2010140 p.ill.21 cm001VAN00763172001 Sintesi210 Santarcangelo di RomagnaMaggioli.3Santarcangelo di RomagnaVANL000123FioriMatteoVANV0322869948Re CecconiFulvioVANV014846334090Maggioli <editore>VANV108045650ITSOL20240329RICAVAN0076316BIBLIOTECA DEL DIPARTIMENTO DI INGEGNERIA05CONS T I 111 05 5630 20100722 BIBLIOTECA DEL DIPARTIMENTO DI INGEGNERIA05CONS T I 122 05 5752 20110708 Impianti di raccolta e scarico acque1419805UNICAMPANIA
