Decorated with micrography, the Jewish scribal art typical of Bible manuscripts, this maḥzor, which includes a rich full-page panel micrography cycle, is unique. Along with the codicological and paleographical analysis, essential for understanding the scribe’s thought and working processes, the author’s meticulous reading of the micrography text reveals the scribe’s textual editing and manipulations. Decoding his writing flow and sequences revealed a close association between the penned text and the images formed, which reflect a Jewish theosophical-theurgical cycle. Evidence of the scribe’s association with the renowned Bassa atelier enhances our knowledge of the cultural, economic, and ethnic realities of the time. The Medieval and Early Modern Iberian World51.Jewish illumination of books and manuscriptsCalligraphy, HebrewWriting, MinusculeEarly works to 1800Illumination of books and manuscriptsSpainElectronic books.Jewish illumination of books and manuscripts.Calligraphy, Hebrew.Writing, MinusculeIllumination of books and manuscripts745.6/74924Halperin Dalia-Ruth1961-1067676NL-LeKBNL-LeKBBOOK9910511477503321Illuminating in micrography2551718UNINA02448nam 2200601 a 450 991077951430332120170919015640.01-4744-0624-60-7486-9949-X1-84586-214-710.1515/9780748699490(CKB)2550000001040854(EBL)3055082(OCoLC)922971512(SSID)ssj0000939837(PQKBManifestationID)11511882(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000939837(PQKBWorkID)10937611(PQKB)11353507(StDuBDS)EDZ0001193160(DE-B1597)615218(DE-B1597)9780748699490(MiAaPQ)EBC3055082(OCoLC)1302162155(EXLCZ)99255000000104085420130228d2011 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrProfessor Norrie's commentaries on family law[electronic resource] /by Kenneth McK. NorrieDundee Dundee University Press20111 online resource (304 p.)Includes index.1-84586-119-1 pt. 1. Commentaries published in the Scottish law and practice quarterly -- pt. 2. Commentaries published in the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland. This is a miscellany of short commentaries on a disparate range of issues relating to (primarily Scottish) family law. It is a collected reprinting of commentaries over the course of almost 12 years in, first, the Scottish Law and Practice Quarterly and, latterly, the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland. The book contains short updates for most of the commentaries. Though each commentary provides a snap-shot of the law at a particular time, their collection into a whole is designed to reveal a subject very much in a state of flux.Parent and child (Law)ScotlandChildren's rightsScotlandDomestic relationsScotlandParent and child (Law)Children's rightsDomestic relations346.411015Norrie Kenneth McK(Kenneth McKenzie),1959-1521929MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910779514303321Professor Norrie's commentaries on family law3846094UNINA
