Resource constraints are given by the relation between the demands for processing the data and the capacity of the computing machinery. The resources are runtime, memory, communication, and energy. Hence, modern computer architectures play a significant role. Novel machine learning algorithms are optimized with regard to minimal resource consumption. Moreover, learned predictions are executed on diverse architectures to save resources. It provides a comprehensive overview of the novel approaches to machine learning research that consider resource constraints, as well as the application of the described methods in various domains of science and engineering. Volume 3 describes how the resource-aware machine learning methods and techniques are used to successfully solve real-world problems. The book provides numerous specific application examples. In the areas of health and medicine, it is demonstrated how machine learning can improve risk modelling, diagnosis, and treatment selection for diseases. Machine learning supported quality control during the manufacturing process in a factory allows to reduce material and energy cost and save testing times is shown by the diverse real-time applications in electronics and steel production as well as milling. Additional application examples show, how machine-learning can make traffic, logistics and smart cities more effi cient and sustainable. Finally, mobile communications can benefi t substantially from machine learning, for example by uncovering hidden characteristics of the wireless channel.De Gruyter STEM SeriesSCIENCE / Chemistry / GeneralbisacshArtificial Intelligence.Big Data and Machine Learning.Cyber-physical systems.Data mining for Ubiquitous System Software.Embedded Systems and Machine Learning.Highly Distributed Data.ML on Small devices.Machine learning for knowledge discovery.Machine learning in high-energy physics.Resource-Aware Machine Learning.Resource-Constrained Data Analysis.SCIENCE / Chemistry / General.006.31Arendt Christian, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbAwasthi Shrutarv, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbBektas Caner, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbBiskup Joachim, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbBorgwardt Karsten, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbBöcker Stefan, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbBüscher Jan, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbCheng Liang, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbDeuse Jochen, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbDing Zeyu, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbFalkenberg Robert, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbFinkeldey Felix, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbGramse Nils, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbHaferkamp Marcus, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbHeimann Karsten, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbHergenröder Roland, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbHompel Michael ten, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbHäger Simon, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbIckstadt Katja, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbJutzeler Catherine, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbJörke Pascal, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbKriege Nils, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbKrieger Cedrik, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbKurtz Fabian, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbKöster Johannes, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbLang Michel, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbLiebig Thomas, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbMachado Maximillian, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbMasoudinejad Mojtaba, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbMorik Katharina, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbMorik Katharina, edthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMunteanu Alexander, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbMutzel Petra, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbOverbeck Dennis, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbPanusch Thorben, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbRahmann Sven, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbRahnenführer Jörg, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbRahnenführer Jörg, edthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtRan Ran, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbReining Christopher, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbRichter Jakob, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbRoidl Moritz, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbSaadallah Amal, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbSchramm Alexander, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbSchreckenberg Michael, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbSchäfer Till, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbShpacovitch Victoria, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbSliwa Benjamin, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbStolpe Marco, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbStöcker Bianca K, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbTiemann Janis, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbVranken Tim, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbWeichert Frank, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbWiederkehr Petra, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbWietfeld Christian, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbWietfeld Christian, edthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtWüstefeld Konstantin, ctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbDE-B1597DE-B1597BOOK9910774815903321Machine Learning under Resource Constraints3011774UNINA
