It is an interdisciplinary field, connecting computer science with many other disciplines such as psychology, sociology and the arts. The present volume documents the results of the MMI research program on Human Machine Interaction involving 8 projects (selected from a total of 80 proposals) funded by the Hasler Foundation between 2005 and 2008. These projects were also partially funded by the associated universities and other third parties such as the Swiss National Science Foundation. This state-of-the-art survey begins with three chapters giving overviews of the domains of multimodal user interfaces, interactive visualization, and mixed reality. These are followed by eight chapters presenting the results of the projects, grouped according to the three aforementioned themes. .Programming and Software Engineering ;5440User interfaces (Computer systems)Multimedia information systemsComputer graphicsSoftware engineeringComputer simulationComputer logicUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interactionhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18067Multimedia Information Systemshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18059Computer Graphicshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I22013Software Engineeringhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14029Simulation and Modelinghttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I19000Logics and Meanings of Programshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I1603XUser interfaces (Computer systems).Multimedia information systems.Computer graphics.Software engineering.Computer simulation.Computer logic.User Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction.Multimedia Information Systems.Computer Graphics.Software Engineering.Simulation and Modeling.Logics and Meanings of Programs.005.4374.019Lalanne Denisedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtKohlas Juergedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBOOK996466039103316Human Machine Interaction774158UNISA01577oam 2200493 450 991071179600332120201210173651.0(CKB)5470000002486107(OCoLC)1079908361(EXLCZ)99547000000248610720181221d1979 ua 0engurbn|||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierSpill of radioactively contaminated resinWashington, D.C. :United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Inspection and Enforcement,1979.1 online resource (2 pages)Information notice ;no. 79-09"March 30, 1979."Radioactive waste disposalAccidentsUnited StatesSlurry pipelinesWaste spillsRadioactive waste disposalAccidentsfastSlurry pipelinesfastWaste spillsfastUnited StatesfastRadioactive waste disposalAccidentsSlurry pipelines.Waste spills.Radioactive waste disposalAccidents.Slurry pipelines.Waste spills.U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.Office of Inspection and Enforcement,GPOGPOMERUCOCLCFGPOBOOK9910711796003321Spill of radioactively contaminated resin3306679UNINA04369nam 22007095 450 991025492580332120200705030422.03-319-42700-810.1007/978-3-319-42700-3(CKB)3710000000872851(DE-He213)978-3-319-42700-3(MiAaPQ)EBC6312704(MiAaPQ)EBC5577934(Au-PeEL)EBL5577934(OCoLC)1000428070(PPN)222236698(EXLCZ)99371000000087285120160929d2017 u| 0engurnn|008mamaatxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierQuantitative Data Analysis A Companion for Accounting and Information Systems Research /by Willem Mertens, Amedeo Pugliese, Jan Recker1st ed. 2017.Cham :Springer International Publishing :Imprint: Springer,2017.1 online resource (X, 164 p. 29 illus., 20 illus. in color.) 3-319-42699-0 Includes bibliographical references and index.Introduction -- Comparing differences across groups -- Assessing (innocuous) relationships -- Models with latent concepts and multiple relationships: structural equation modeling -- Nested data and multilevel models: hierarchical linear models -- Analyzing longitudinal and panel data -- Causality: Endogeneity biases and possible remedies -- How to start analyzing, test assumptions, and deal with that pesky p-value -- Keeping track and staying sane. This book offers postgraduate and early career researchers in accounting and information systems a guide to choosing, executing and reporting appropriate data analysis methods to answer their research questions. It provides readers with a basic understanding of the steps that each method involves, and of the facets of the analysis that require special attention. Rather than presenting an exhaustive overview of the methods or explaining them in detail, the book serves as a starting point for developing data analysis skills: it provides hands-on guidelines for conducting the most common analyses and reporting results, and includes pointers to more extensive resources. Comprehensive yet succinct, the book is brief and written in a language that everyone can understand - from students to those employed by organizations wanting to study the context in which they work. It also serves as a refresher for researchers who have learned data analysis techniques previously but who need a reminder for the specific study they are involved in.Management information systemsStatistics ComputersCorporate governanceSocial sciencesBusiness Information Systemshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/522030Statistics for Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Insurancehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/S17010Information Systems and Communication Servicehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18008Corporate Governancehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/511020Methodology of the Social Scienceshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X17000Management information systems.Statistics .Computers.Corporate governance.Social sciences.Business Information Systems.Statistics for Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Insurance.Information Systems and Communication Service.Corporate Governance.Methodology of the Social Sciences.001.42Mertens Willemauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut892051Pugliese Amedeoauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/autRecker Janauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/autMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910254925803321Quantitative Data Analysis1992242UNINA
