Federal agencies' use of personal information is governed by the Privacy Act of 1974 and the E-Government Act of 2002, while the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) provides implementation guidance and oversight. These laws and guidance are based on the Fair Information Practices, a set of widely accepted principles for protecting privacy. GAO was asked to testify on its report, being released today, concerning the sufficiency of privacy protections afforded by existing laws and guidance. To do this, GAO analyzed privacy laws and guidance, compared them with the Fair Information Practices, and obtained perspectives from federal agencies as well as an expert forum.Privacy Government paperworkUnited StatesOffice practice in governmentUnited StatesData protectionGovernment policyUnited StatesDatabase securityGovernment policyUnited StatesGovernment paperworkOffice practice in governmentData protectionGovernment policyDatabase securityGovernment policyKoontz Linda D1380804United States.Congress.Senate.Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.United States.Government Accountability Office.EJBEJBGPOBOOK9910696738203321Privacy3428781UNINA01736nam0 22002891i 450 RML024163820231121125707.020121121d2001 ||||0itac50 baitaitz01i xxxe z01nIL settore elettrico in Italiadal monopolio al "mercato verde" dell'energiaEnrica IannucciRoma Edizioni Kappa 2001114 p.24 cmInclude una bibliografaEnergia elettricaFIRRMLC194596I333.79321IANNUCCI, EnricaRMLV147550411591ITIT-0120121121IT-FR0098 Biblioteca Area Giuridico EconomicaFR0098 RML0241638Biblioteca Area Giuridico Economica 53TER 333.793/2 ter 53VM 0000109185 VM barcode:ECO010240. - Inventario:5202. - Fondo:Sala consultazioneVMA 2001062520121204 53TER 333.793/2 bis 53VM 0000109175 VM barcode:ECO010239. - Inventario:5201. - Fondo:Sala consultazioneVMA 2001062520121204 53TER 333.793/2 quinquies 53VM 0000109165 VM barcode:ECO010242. - Inventario:5204. - Fondo:Sala consultazioneVMA 2001062520121204 53TER 333.793/2 quater 53VM 0000109155 VM barcode:ECO010241. - Inventario:5203. - Fondo:Sala consultazioneVMA 2001062520121204 53TER 333.793/2 53VM 0000109145 VM barcode:ECO010238. - Inventario:5200. - Fondo:Sala consultazioneVMA 2001062520121204 53Settore elettrico in Italia3620892UNICAS
