Modern Mythographer -- 6. Conclusion: Balzac's Multifaceted Legacy. This book examines the theoretical affiliations between the most notable proponent of literary realism, Honoré de Balzac, and two understated but key representatives of the French New Wave, Éric Rohmer and Jacques Rivette. It argues that their film criticism, which gradually led to the establishment of a common aesthetic vision of cinema (the "politique des auteurs"), owes more to Balzac and the nineteenth-century novel than to any intellectual trend of the immediate post-war period. By considering the films of Rohmer and Rivette as an extension of their writings (essays, film reviews, scriptwriting, novels and interviews), this volume analyses the changing and sometimes opposed ways in which they applied Balzacian principles and themes to their cinematic practice. Essentially, it understands the exchange between art forms, past traditions and contemporaneous currents as the overlooked yet common thread that links these three authors, through their own re-appropriations of classical and romantic aesthetics in their explorations of modern French society. In doing so, this study provides further nuance to the "conservative" versus "progressist" rupture that is generally assumed between the two directors, and offers an innovative reading of The Human Comedy in the light of post-war ideas on authorship, film adaptation, classicism and modernism.Palgrave Studies in Adaptation and Visual Culture,2634-6303Adaptation (Literary, artistic, etc.)Adaptation StudiesAdaptation (Literary, artistic, etc.)Adaptation Studies.791.4302330922791.4302330922Tavassoli Zea Zahraauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut1227009MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910484474803321Balzac Reframed2849065UNINA03121nam 22005415 450 991076844200332120251201182842.0981-9952-57-310.1007/978-981-99-5257-1(MiAaPQ)EBC30999745(Au-PeEL)EBL30999745(OCoLC)1412621275(CKB)29287175200041(DE-He213)978-981-99-5257-1(EXLCZ)992928717520004120231204d2023 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierAnti-Fraud Engineering for Digital Finance Behavioral Modeling Paradigm /by Cheng Wang1st ed. 2023.Singapore :Springer Nature Singapore :Imprint: Springer,2023.1 online resource (213 pages)Economics and Finance SeriesPrint version: Wang, Cheng Anti-Fraud Engineering for Digital Finance Singapore : Springer Singapore Pte. It deals with the insufficiency and low-quality of behavior data and presents a unified perspective to combine technology, scenarios, and data for better anti-fraud performance. The goal of this book is to provide a non-intrusive second security line, rather than replaced with existing solutions, for anti-fraud in digital finance. By studying common weaknesses in typical fields, it can support the behavioral modeling paradigm across a wide array of applications. It covers the latest theoretical and experimental progress and offers important information that is just as relevant for researchers as for professionals.Economics and Finance Series (Springer Nature Singapore)Social sciencesData processingEconomicsPsychological aspectsComputer Application in Social and Behavioral SciencesBehavioral FinanceSocial sciencesData processing.EconomicsPsychological aspects.Computer Application in Social and Behavioral Sciences.Behavioral Finance.910.5Wang Cheng1370-1415,1460128MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910768442003321Anti-Fraud Engineering for Digital Finance3659847UNINA
