With its broad coverage of innovations in transducing/sensing mechanisms, material and structural designs, system integration and applications, as well as the timely reviews of the progress in energy harvesting and self-powered sensing technologies, this reprint could give readers an excellent overview of the challenges, opportunities, advancements and development trends of this rapidly evolving field.Technology: general issuesbicsscHistory of engineering & technologybicsscEnergy industries & utilitiesbicsscbacteriorhodopsinphotoelectric conversionbioelectronicsnanoporemicrofluidicAs(III) detectionelectrochemical sensingnanosensingbiosensingenergy harvestingtriboelectric mechanismelectrostatic mechanismhuman motion status monitoringIZTO/β-Ga2O3 Schottky diodesolar-blindself-poweredphotodetectormodelingtriboelectricpiezoelectricelectromagnetichybridimplantable biomedical devicestriboelectric nanogeneratorenergy harvesterself-powered biosensornerve stimulationmuscle stimulationresistance-switchinggreen energyhybrid nanogeneratorspiezoelectric nanogeneratorthermoelectric nanogeneratorsvibration energy harvestinghybrid generatorstriboelectric displacement sensorstriboelectric acceleration sensorsAg2O/β-Ga2O3heterojunctiondeep ultravioletpost-annealingTechnology: general issuesHistory of engineering & technologyEnergy industries & utilitiesShi Qiongfengedt1296250Zhu JianxiongedtShi QiongfengothZhu JianxiongothBOOK9910639993903321Advance in Energy Harvesters3023912UNINA09099nam 2202749z- 450 991056645690332120220506(CKB)5680000000037812(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/81219(oapen)doab81219(EXLCZ)99568000000003781220202205d2022 |y 0engurmn|---annantxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierThe Impact of the COVID-19 Emergency on the Quality of Life of the General PopulationBaselMDPI - Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute20221 online resource (822 p.)3-0365-3639-6 3-0365-3640-X COVID-19 is a pandemic that has forced many states to declare restrictive measures in order to prevent its wider spread. These measures are necessary to protect the health of adults, children, and people with disabilities.Long quarantine periods could cause an increase in anxiety crises, fear of contagion, and post-traumatic stress disorder (frustration, boredom, isolation, fear, insomnia, and difficulty concentrating).Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a condition that can develop in subjects who have witnessed a traumatic, catastrophic, or violent event, or who have become aware of a traumatic experience that happened to a loved one.In fact, from current cases, it emerges that the prevalence of PTSD varies from 1% to 9% in the general population and can reach 50%-60% in subgroups of subjects exposed to traumas considered particularly serious. PTSD develops as a consequence of one or more physical or psychological traumatic events, such as exposure to natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis; wars, torture, death threats; road accidents, robbery, air accidents; diseases with unfavorable prognoses; complicated or traumatic mourning; physical and sexual abuse and abuse during childhood; or victimization and discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity. It can also develop following changes in lifestyle habits caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.Thank you for reading the manuscripts in this Special Issue, "The Impact of the COVID-19 Emergency on the Quality of Life of the General Population".History of engineering & technologybicsscTechnology: general issuesbicssc15Daccess to healthcareACEsactivity patternadverse childhood experiencesadversityageingantibodiesanxietyAthens Insomnia ScaleattitudesautismAutism Spectrum Disorderavoidance-oriented copingbalanceBDI-IIbreathing difficultyburnoutchildrenChilechronic diseaseschronic paincollege studentscommunity pharmacistscomprehensive health careconsultationcopingcoping strategiescoping stylescoronaviruscoronavirus diseaseCovid-19COVID-19COVID-19 confinementCOVID-19 emergencyCOVID-19 fearCOVID-19 pandemiccross-national studyDASS-21dentistdepressiondepressive symptomsdetrainingdiagnosiseconomic crisisEgyptianelder abuseelderly populationemergencyemergency servicesemotionemotion awarenessemotion-oriented copingemotional bondemotional distressemotionsEPDSERTexecutive functioningfallsfamily physicianfearfear of contagionfear of Covid-19fear of COVID-19frailtyGAD-7gendergender differencesgeneral anxiety disorder-7 (GAD-7)general populationgeneral self-reported healthgerontechnologyHashimoto's diseasehealthhealth professionalshealth psychologyhealthcare personnelhealthy adolescentshealthy lifestylehealthy lifestyle behaviorshelp-seekinghome confinementinactivityIndonesiainfectious diseaseinflammationinsomniainterpersonal violenceinterventionIrelandISIItalyknowledgeKosovolife satisfactionliving togetherlockdownlysosomal storage diseasemasticatorymeaning-based resourcesmental healthmental illnessmoodmultiple sclerosisn/aneurodegenerative diseasesneurologicalnursingoccupational balanceolder adultsorofacial painpandemicpandemic COVID-19pandemicsparental distressparenting stressparentsperceived control over timeperceived stresspersonalityPHQ-9physical activityphysical activity (PA)post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)postural controlpracticespregnancypregnantpreventionpreventive behaviorpreventive measuresprimary careprimary healthcareprospective memorypsychiatric patientspsychiatrypsychologicalpsychological copingpsychological discomfortpsychological distresspsychological flexibilitypsychological healthpsychological impactpsychological well-beingpsychological wellbeingpsychopathological symptomatologypsychopathological symptomspublicpublic healthpublic health strategiespublic mental healthquality of lifeQuality of Lifequarantineremoteresilienceresting heart raterestrictionsrisk factorsrisk perceptionrisk perception of COVID-19SARS-CoV-2satisfaction with lifesense of coherenceserological testshelter-in-place measuresshort health anxiety inventory (SHAI)SLEsleep durationsocial distancingsomatic symptomsspiritualitySTAIstate anxietystate-trait anxiety inventory (STAI)stomatognathic systemstressstress disorderstudentstask-oriented copingtelemedicinetelerehabilitationTMDtreatment effectivenesstriggerstype D personalitytype of personalityundergraduatesuniversity studentsvaccinationvirus' transmissionvitalitywearable sensorswell-beingwellbeingWHOQOL-BREFworking memoryworryHistory of engineering & technologyTechnology: general issuesRoccella Micheleedt1280989Roccella MicheleothBOOK9910566456903321The Impact of the COVID-19 Emergency on the Quality of Life of the General Population3017800UNINA
