To some, these two interests overlap enough to parade them under a single banner. To others, these are disparate approaches that draw on and display competing methodological commitments. Seasoned scholars and relative newcomers to the conversation orient readers to these concerns, not so much to resolve these differences but to explore them with an eye to the future of theological work with the New Testament.Religion & beliefsbicsscbiblical theologytheological interpretationhistorical criticismnarrative theologyhistory of religionscanondialecticalNew Testament theologysemioticssemanticsmetanarrativesignificationdiscursive resistanceHebrewsexclusive languagewomencommunitypedagogyinheritancepriesthoodtheological commentarytheological hermeneuticsbeliefBrazos Theological CommentaryTwo Horizons New Testament Commentarytheological exegesisNew Testament translationsrighteousness of Godfaith of Christwork of ChristRomans 3:21–26New TestamenttheologyBarthethicschurchpresuppositionshistoricalRomans 8.18-30Pauline pneumatologymissio spirituSpirit as solidarityPauline Ethicscosmic redemptionGospel of JohnmetaphorNew Testament TheologyPauline lettersrevelationtempleFirst Epistle of JohnNew Testament Ethicsimitationmimesisvirtue ethicsParacletedesiresconstructive theologybiblical studieshermeneuticsChristian traditiondoxologyOld Testamentinterdisciplinarityreligionearly ChristianitytypologydescriptionpoliticsrelevanceClifford GeertzTalal AsadReligion & beliefsGreen Joeledt1279214Green JoelothBOOK9910639986103321The Future of New Testament Theology3014832UNINA06376nam 22006855 450 991048391390332120251230064829.03-030-36568-910.1007/978-3-030-36568-4(CKB)4100000010661160(DE-He213)978-3-030-36568-4(MiAaPQ)EBC6135140(PPN)243226764(EXLCZ)99410000001066116020200316d2020 u| 0engurnn|008mamaatxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierFrom Analysis to Visualization A Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Jonathan M. A conference was held 25 –29 September 2017 at Noah’s On the Beach, Newcastle, Australia, to commemorate the life and work of Jonathan M. Borwein, a mathematician extraordinaire whose untimely passing in August 2016 was a sorry loss to mathematics and to so many members of its community, a loss that continues to be keenly felt. A polymath, Jonathan Borwein ranks among the most wide ranging and influential mathematicians of the last 50 years, making significant contributions to an exceptional diversity of areas and substantially expanding the use of the computer as a tool of the research mathematician. The contributions in this commemorative volume probe Dr. Borwein's ongoing legacy in areas where he did some of his most outstanding work: Applied Analysis, Optimization and Convex Functions; Mathematics Education; Financial Mathematics; plus Number Theory, Special Functions and Pi, all tinged by the double prisms of Experimental Mathematics and Visualization, methodologies he championed.Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics,2194-1017 ;313Mathematical analysisMathematicsStudy and teaching Social sciencesMathematicsNumber theoryAnalysisMathematics EducationMathematics in Business, Economics and FinanceNumber TheoryMathematical analysis.MathematicsStudy and teaching .Social sciencesMathematics.Number theory.Analysis.Mathematics Education.Mathematics in Business, Economics and Finance.Number Theory.510Bailey David Hedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBorwein Naomi Simoneedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBrent Richard Pedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBurachik Regina Sedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtOsborn Judy-anne Heatheredthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtSims Braileyedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtZhu Qiji Jedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910483913903321From Analysis to Visualization2161872UNINA
