CIKM is traditionally held once a year at different locations all over the world. However, due to COVID 2019 pandemic, the last two years of CIKM conference were fully virtual. In 2022, it returns to the United States in Atlanta, GA and is held on October 17-21 at Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel in Atlanta Downtown. Although deemed to be a full physical conference, CIKM 2022 live streams all sessions over an Internet-based virtual platform, which enables attendees to attend the conference remotely with two-way live communication, and real-time interactions, the virtual attendees enjoy the full conference experience, making it the very first true hybrid (Physical and Virtual) edition of CIKM conference. CIKM 2022 is the 31st running of the conference, which remains the only conference that focuses on the management of both structured and unstructured data accepting research papers covering database, information retrieval, and knowledge management sub-disciplines of Computer Science. CIKM 2022 also accepts papers covering general areas of data science, and machine learning, covering both foundational work, and applications. CIKM has traditionally emphasized on relevance to industry and government applications; CIKM 2022 continues this tradition and further increases this emphasis by including an Industry Day (a full day event) and multiple Analytic cup competitions. Papers are solicited in four tracks: including full research papers, short research and resource papers, applied research papers and demonstration papers. Besides the presentations and posters of all the accepted papers in the above tracks, the whole conference program includes 7 tutorials, 12 workshops, 4 keynote ta The call for papers attracted submissions from all continents.
