A small particle size implies a high sensitivity and selectivity. These new effects and possibilities are mainly due to the quantum effects resulting from the increasing ratio of surface-to-volume atoms in low-dimensional systems. An important factor in this context is the design and fabrication of nanocomponents displaying new functionalities and characteristics for the improvement of existing materials, including photonic materials, conductive materials, polymers and biocomposites. With this concept in mind, the aim of the Special Issue is to publish research on innovative materials and their applications.Topics to be covered in this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, the following: Technology and applications of nanomaterials with rare earth ions; Advanced physicochemical properties, characterization and modification of nanomaterials with rare earth ions; Novel active materials, especially organic and inorganic materials, nanocrystalline materials, nanoceramics doped and co-doped with rare-earth ions with bio-related and emerging applications; Magnetic properties of nano-sized rare-earth compounds; Applications of nano-sized rare-earth-doped and co-doped optical materials.Nanostructural Materials with Rare Earth IonsHistory of engineering & technologybicsscTechnology: general issuesbicsscantimicrobial activityantimicrobial effectapatitebone augmentationbracketscalcium hydroxyapatite nanopowdersCe3+ and Pr3+ ions co-dopingcooper ionsCu2+ ionsdental implantsdental nanomaterialsdiphosphatesendodonticsEPR spectroscopyEu3+ and Sr2+ ion co-dopingeuropium ionsEuShydroxyapatiteinterdiffusionlanthanidesluminescencemicroorganismsmicrowave-assisted hydrothermal methodn/ananocompositesnanocrystallitesnanohydroxyapatitenanomaterialsnitrogen-rich ligandorthodonticsozonated olive oilozonephosphate sensingphotoluminescence spectroscopypiezoresistivitypoly(l-lactide)poly(L-lactide)prostheticquenchingrare earth ionsrare earthssemiconductor-metal transitionsilicate-substituted hydroxyapatiteSmSspectroscopystem cellsstructural propertiestheranosticsthin filmstwin screw extrusionup-conversionwiresβ-tricalcium diphosphate(V)History of engineering & technologyTechnology: general issuesWiglusz Rafał Jakubedt1326302Wiglusz Rafał JakubothBOOK9910566474003321Nanostructural Materials with Rare Earth Ions: Synthesis, Physicochemical Characterization, Modification and Applications3037284UNINA03093nam 2200877z- 450 991034668700332120210211(CKB)4920000000094799(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/46144(oapen)doab46144(EXLCZ)99492000000009479920202102d2019 |y 0engurmn|---annantxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierElectromagnetic Technologies for Medical Diagnostics. Learning to Look After Ourselves -- 12. Mainly Theory. .This book is an accessible guide for understanding and treating psychological trauma. Drawing on Dr. Woodcock's extensive experience and the latest research, it offers an approach that integrates systemic therapy and psychoanalytic perspectives through the lens of attachment theory. The book's chapters cover topics such as trauma and pain; traumatic death; how to respond when disaster strikes; social systems that promote attachment versus systems that create trauma; and how to look after ourselves as therapists, family, and friends of trauma survivors. Because no single therapeutic paradigm is sufficient to capture the complexity of trauma, the book brings together a wide set of therapeutic traditions and shows in detail how to apply a variety of treatment approaches, gathered from psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral, intersubjective, mindfulness, and body psychotherapy traditions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The book's vignettes and case studies provide clear illustrations of the theory outlined and demonstrate the use of interventions in a range of settings. It will appeal to qualified and training practitioners in the clinical and care professions and researchers from across the psychological sciences with an interest in trauma, as well as to a more general readership affected by issues relating to trauma. Jeremy Woodcock is in independent practice as a psychotherapist, supervisor, teacher, and writer. He has spent his professional life as a psychotherapist working with survivors of trauma. He was Consultant Family Therapist and Head of Groupwork at Freedom from Torture and Director of Family therapy training at the University of Bristol (UK), and is advisor and consultant to a wide variety of organizations working with trauma and its after effects.Palgrave Texts in Counselling and Psychotherapy,2662-9135Psychic traumaSystemic therapy (Family therapy)PsychotherapyCounselingSocial serviceMedical sciencesTrauma PsychologySystems or Family TherapyPsychotherapyCounseling PsychologySocial WorkHealth SciencesNeurosi traumàticathubPsicoteràpiathubLlibres electrònicsthubPsychic trauma.Systemic therapy (Family therapy)Psychotherapy.Counseling.Social service.Medical sciences.Trauma Psychology.Systems or Family Therapy.Psychotherapy.Counseling Psychology.Social Work.Health Sciences.Neurosi traumàticaPsicoteràpia.616.852106616.852106Woodcock Jeremy1079372MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQ9910523739103321Families and Individuals Living with Trauma2591860UNINA
