(Co)polymer molecular structure, topology, self-assemblies, biodegradation, and hydrophobicity are of biomaterial importance for intrinsically biocompatible polymer systems. This book is comprised of nine chapters, published previously as original research contributions of the Special Issue focused on advances in polymeric materials for biomedical applications. The authors of these contributions are predominantly from central European countries, Italy and the United Kingdom. The content of this book will be of interest to scientists, scholars and students working in this area of knowledge, reflecting the progress in the development of advanced natural and synthetic polymer biomaterials.Technology: general issuesbicssc3D printingacridineantibacterial cottonanticancer scaffoldantifungalantimicrobial activityantimicrobial peptidesbacterial cellulosebioactive (co)oligoesterscathelicidincell internalizationcitric acidcomposite meshcomputer aided design (CAD)cosmetic delivery systemcrosslinking degreecytokinesdendrimerdissolution studydynamic light scattering (DLS)electrospinningelectrospun fiberserosion testESI-MSfish gelatinfused deposition modelling (FDM)gelatin structurehydrogelhydrolytic degradationimmunomodulationKR-12metallodendrimermiramistin amphotericin bmultistage mass spectrometrynylon 6ocimeneoligo(3-hydroxy-3-(4-methoxybenzoyloxymethyl)propionate)p-anisic acid derivativespHphagocytosispoly(2-isopropenyl-2-oxazoline)polydopaminepolyhydroxyalkanoatespolystyreneproliferationRAW 264.7roughnesstannic acidthermal treatmentthymoquinoneTi6Al4Vwhey protein isolatewound dressingTechnology: general issuesRadecka Izaedt1314870Kowalczuk Marek MedtRadecka IzaothKowalczuk Marek MothBOOK9910557609503321Advances in Polymeric Materials for Biomedical Applications3032072UNINA03735nam 22006855 450 991056468080332120251113182646.09783030974053303097405710.1007/978-3-030-97405-3(CKB)5700000000081228EBL6961414(OCoLC)1317326908(AU-PeEL)EBL6961414(MiAaPQ)EBC6961414(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/81681(DE-He213)978-3-030-97405-3(ODN)ODN0010067666(oapen)doab81681(EXLCZ)99570000000008122820220421d2022 u| 0engur|n|---|||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierContemporary Housing Struggles A Structural Field of Contention Approach /by Ioana Florea, Agnes Gagyi, Kerstin Jacobsson1st ed. 2022.Cham :Springer International Publishing :Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan,2022.1 online resource (251 p.)Description based upon print version of record.9783030974046 3030974049 1. Introduction. Embedding the Analysis of Housing Contention in the Sociopolitical Complexity of Structural Crises -- 2. The Structural Field of Contention Approach -- 3. The Structural Background of Housing Contention in Bucharest and Budapest -- 4. Housing Contention in Budapest -- 5. Housing Contention in Bucharest -- 6. Structural Fields of Contention in Housing Struggles. Comparative Lessons -- 7. Conclusion. This OA book provides a comparative study of housing contention in Budapest and Bucharest in 2008-2021. The financialization of housing and the resulting inequalities, expulsions and social contention are a central characteristic of today’s capitalist crisis. These two East European cities that fall outside the usual focus of urban movements research provide an illuminating case of similar structural conditions governed by different political constellations at the national and local scales. Instead of searching for unilinear narratives connecting structural tensions to politicized claims, the book offers an in-depth contextual analysis of multiple forms of contention, their (often unintentional) interactions, and their broader political-structural background, including tensions surrounded by political silence. The authors analyze the two cases and their comparative lessons through what they propose as a “structural field of contention” approach to the multiple, interconnected ways in which structural tensions become (or not) politicized in today’s social movements. The book will appeal to everyone interested in today’s urban tensions and social movements. .Social policySociology, UrbanEconomicsSociological aspectsComparative Social PolicyUrban SociologyEconomic SociologySocial policy.Sociology, Urban.EconomicsSociological aspects.Comparative Social Policy.Urban Sociology.Economic Sociology.363.50943912363.50943912POL029000SOC026000SOC026030bisacshFlorea Ioana1238954Gagyi Agnes921259Jacobsson Kerstin870030AU-PeELAU-PeELAU-PeELBOOK9910564680803321Contemporary Housing Struggles2875048UNINA
