Es una investigación de tipo básica, nivel propositivo con diseño no experimental y enfoque metodológico cuantitativo, se trabajó con una muestra de 58 niños, a quienes se les administró un test sobre pensamiento crítico y creativo considerando las dimensiones e indicadores correspondientes con un total de 20 ítems, escala Likert los resultados permitieron señalar un desarrollo medio en los pensamientos indicados. La información obtenida permitió diseñar un modelo de estrategias de aprendizaje autónomo orientado al desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y creativo, el mismo que fue validado por expertos quienes dieron conformidad y por lo tanto factible de ser aplicado en cuanto se supere la situación de pandemia covid-19.
