In this framework, a great deal of attention is directed towards dissimilar welding and joining technologies. In the automotive sector, for instance, the concept of “tailored blanks”, introduced in the last decade, has further highlighted the necessity to weld dissimilar materials. As far as the aeronautic field is concerned, most structures are built combining very different materials and alloys, in order to match lightweight and structural performance requirements. In this framework, the application of fusion welding techniques, namely, tungsten inert gas or laser welding, is quite challenging due to the difference in physical properties, in particular the melting point, between adjoining materials. On the other hand, solid-state welding methods, such as the friction stir welding as well as linear friction welding processes, have already proved to be capable of manufacturing sound Al-Cu, Al-Ti, Al-SS, and Al-Mg joints, to cite but a few. Recently, promising results have also been obtained using hybrid methods. Considering the novelty of the topic, many relevant issues are still open, and many research groups are continuously publishing valuable results. The aim of this book is to finalize the latest contributions on this topic.microstructureinternal supportsaging treatmentRare earthcloud of particlesjoining areaAl/steel dissimilar materialswelding-brazingdual-beam laser weldingjettensilealuminum-steel butt jointcrack growth pathspooling process tapelobe curvedissimilar metal welded jointelectrical propertiesfiller metalsEBSD phase mappingdissimilar materials weldingFSWmechanical propertiesdissimilartubular jointsoptimal designhardnessAISI 316Lwelding windowfracture resistancetensile resistancedissimilar Ti6Al4V/AA6060 lap jointarc assisted laser methoddissimilar metal weldingdissimilar jointspulsed Nd:YAG lasersolid state weldingDP1000 steelcross-section adjustmentfracture loadpulsed Nd:YAG laser beam weldingaluminuminterfacephase potentialdissimilar weldfailure modeAg-Cu-Znaluminum alloycopperintermetallic compoundselectromagnetic pulse weldinglaser beam weldingageingdissimilar metalssteel/aluminum jointside-by-side configurationfriction stir spot weldinginterfacial crack initiationlaser weldingspatial beam oscillationmagnetic pulse weldingsurface activationDeltaSpot weldingtensile propertiesfriction stir spot brazingfriction stir weldingsteel/Al joint1050 aluminum alloylocal strength mismatchInconel 625Astarita Antonelloauth1325169Carlone PierpaoloauthBOOK9910367738103321Dissimilar Metal Welding3036636UNINA02186nam 2200493z- 450 991055724470332120231214133231.0(CKB)5400000000041501(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/72949(EXLCZ)99540000000004150120202111d2019 |y 0engurmn|---annantxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierClinical Relevance of the Immune-to-Brain and Brain-to-Immune CommunicationsFrontiers Media SA20191 electronic resource (172 p.)2-88945-784-2 This eBook is a collection of articles from a Frontiers Research Topic. Frontiers Research Topics are very popular trademarks of the Frontiers Journals Series: they are collections of at least ten articles, all centered on a particular subject.
