The collection includes twenty-one narratives by twelve storytellers; an account of the narrators' lives and a commentary have been applied to each. In contrast to most anthologies of Jewish folktales, the texts in this book were recorded in the natural context of narration and in the language of origin (Judaeo-Arabic), meeting the most vigorous standards of current folklore scholarship.Jews, MoroccanIsraelShelomiFolkloreJewish legendsTalesIsraelShelomiTalesMoroccoFolk literature, Judeo-ArabicMoroccoHistory and criticismFolk literature, Judeo-ArabicMoroccoTranslations into EnglishShelomi (Israel)Social life and customsJews, MoroccanFolklore.Jewish legends.TalesTalesFolk literature, Judeo-ArabicHistory and criticism.Folk literature, Judeo-ArabicTranslations into English.398.2/089/9276405694Bar-Itzhak HayaauthShenhar-Alroy Aliza1141153Bar-Yitsḥaḳ Ḥayah873481MdBmJHUPMdBmJHUPBOOK9910524653503321Jewish Moroccan Folk Narratives from Israel2679373UNINA01077nam0 22002771i 450 UON0013427320231205102812.60120020107d1963 |0itac50 babenIN|||| 1||||JharaMantu GangopadhyayaKalikataJatiya Sahitya Parishada196361 p.18 cmLetteratura bengaliPoesia e teatroUONC000961FIINCalcuttaUONL000111SI VI ECXSUBCONT.
