Au fil de l’histoire de l’Irlande, les modalités du lien social ont connu à la fois des invariants, des évolutions, des mutations. Comment le colonisateur s’est-il accommodé (ou non) des structures antérieures ? Peut-on parler du lien social au singulier dans l’Irlande coloniale ? Comment le jeune État-nation, issu d’une guerre d’indépendance puis d’une guerre civile, a-t-il cherché à intervenir dans la reconstruction et le maintien de ce lien ? Qu’en est-il du lien social dans une Irlande post-moderne, où l’individualisme et les cellules restreintes semblent s’affirmer au détriment du collectif ? Comment la question se pose-t-elle en Irlande du Nord, où s’étend la « ligne de paix », c’est-à-dire le mur qui sépare quartiers catholiques et quartiers protestants ? Les articles qui composent ce recueil relèvent du domaine de la civilisation. La première partie de l’ouvrage explore les modalités de compositions et de recompositions du lien social au fil de l’histoire d’une Irlande assujettie sous diverses formes à la puissance britannique, jusqu’aux premières années du jeune État-nation au début du XXe siècle. La seconde aborde cette notion dans une perspective résolument contemporaine et comporte des analyses du lien dans diverses mises en œuvre : dans l’éducation, l’économie et les entreprises, les réseaux politiques et associatifs. The purpose of this book is to describe the challenges facing Asian economies in the post-global financial crisis environment and to identify structural issues and policies that can help guide Asian policymakers to expand the growth potential of domestic and regional demand in coming years, and thereby create a basis for balanced, sustainable, and inclusive long-term growth.
