Conclusions and Implications. .This book describes a participatory case study of a small family farm in Maharashtra, India. It is a dialectical study of cultivating cultivation: how paddy cultivation is learnt and taught, and why it is the way it is. The paddy cultivation that the family is doing at first appears to be ‘traditional’. But by observation and working along with the family, the authors have found that they are engaging in a dynamic process in which they are questioning, investigating, and learning by doing. The authors compare this to the process of doing science, and to the sort of learning that occurs in formal education. The book presents evidence that paddy cultivation has always been varying and evolving through chance and necessity, experimentation, and economic contingencies. Through the example of one farm, the book provides a critique of current attempts to sustain agriculture, and an understanding of the ongoing agricultural crisis.International Explorations in Outdoor and Environmental Education,2214-4226 ;7ScienceStudy and teachingEducation and stateProfessional educationVocational educationHuman geographyScience EducationEducational Policy and PoliticsProfessional and Vocational EducationHuman GeographyScienceStudy and teaching.Education and state.Professional education.Vocational education.Human geography.Science Education.Educational Policy and Politics.Professional and Vocational Education.Human Geography.630.954Haydock Karen1075277MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910483785303321Learning and sustaining agricultural practices2584408UNINA00969nam0 22002651i 450 UON0004501620231205102202.35220020107d1967 |0itac50 bahebIL|||| 1||||Bialik be-siratoZvi AdarTel AvivNeuman1967168 p.22 cmLetteratura ebraicaCriticaSec. 20.UONC004093FIILTel AvivUONL000409SEB VI DSTUDI EBRAICI - LETTERATURA - PERIODO MODERNO E CONTEMPORANEOAADARZ.UONV010178649210NeumanUONV253067650ITSOL20251031RICASIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEOUONSIUON00045016SIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEOSI SEB VI D 025 SI SEM477 5 025 Bialik be-sirato1158717UNIOR
