We find that while QFAs have been reduced recently, they remain significant. The extensive nature of these activities has several macroeconomic and structural policy implications. An extended measure of public sector operations, including QFAs, presents a clearer picture of Ghana's fiscal stance and fiscal adjustment from one for the central government alone; QFAs have led to serious distortions in energy and water consumption; and they have distorted the investment decisions of both public enterprises and the private sector.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2006/024Fiscal policyGhanaFinance, PublicGhanaGovernment business enterprisesGhanaBanks and BankingimfMacroeconomicsimfPublic FinanceimfNonprofit Organizations and Public Enterprise: GeneralimfCentral Banks and Their PoliciesimfPublic EnterprisesimfPublic-Private EnterprisesimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfPublic AdministrationimfPublic Sector Accounting and AuditsimfPublic ownershipimfnationalizationimfBankingimfCivil service & public sectorimfPublic finance & taxationimfPublic enterprisesimfQuasi-fiscal operationsimfPublic sectorimfContingent liabilitiesimfGovernment business enterprisesimfFinance, PublicimfBanks and bankingimfFiscal policyimfGhanaimfFiscal policyFinance, PublicGovernment business enterprisesBanks and BankingMacroeconomicsPublic FinanceNonprofit Organizations and Public Enterprise: GeneralCentral Banks and Their PoliciesPublic EnterprisesPublic-Private EnterprisesBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesPublic AdministrationPublic Sector Accounting and AuditsPublic ownershipnationalizationBankingCivil service & public sectorPublic finance & taxationPublic enterprisesQuasi-fiscal operationsPublic sectorContingent liabilitiesGovernment business enterprisesFinance, PublicBanks and bankingFiscal policyChivakul Mali1546598York Robert1092056DcWaIMFBOOK9910788417003321Implications of Quasi-Fiscal Activities in Ghana3802306UNINA13345nam 22007335 450 991029859820332120230822201635.03-319-28388-X10.1007/978-3-319-28388-3(CKB)3810000000358865(DE-He213)978-3-319-28388-3(MiAaPQ)EBC6314738(PPN)229496601(EXLCZ)99381000000035886520180613d2018 u| 0engurnn#008mamaatxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierModern Magnetic Resonance /edited by Graham A. The three part reference work contains key developments, scores of contributions, key literature citations and overviews of the important progress achieved in the relevant topics since the publication of the previous edition. Two key differences in this new edition are the replacement of the previous Medical Sciences section with the Biological and Pharmaceutical Science sections and the inclusion of a new part featuring Archaeological applications. Divided into seven comprehensive parts, the work covers: Archaeology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science, Marine Science, Materials Science, and Pharmaceutical Science. Section editors from Asia, USA, and Europe have recruited a truly international list of active and eminent contributors who have created a remarkable and unique work. Topics include: Electron Spin Resonance, High resolution solid and liquid state NMR; Low resolution NMR; Solution State NMR; Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The level of scientific coverage of the chosen topics renders the handbook suitable for research workers in the relevant fields as well as final year undergraduate students. .MaterialsAnalysisPharmaceutical chemistryArchaeologyMedicineResearchBiologyResearchFood scienceWaterHydrologyCharacterization and Analytical TechniquePharmaceuticsArchaeologyBiomedical ResearchFood ScienceWaterMaterialsAnalysis.Pharmaceutical chemistry.Archaeology.MedicineResearch.BiologyResearch.Food science.Water.Hydrology.Characterization and Analytical Technique.Pharmaceutics.Archaeology.Biomedical Research.Food Science.Water.538.36Webb Graham Aedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910298598203321Modern Magnetic Resonance1566634UNINA04406nam 22007215 450 991048329520332120251116233602.09783030671365303067136410.1007/978-3-030-67136-5(CKB)4100000011801625(MiAaPQ)EBC6523262(Au-PeEL)EBL6523262(OCoLC)1245671816(DE-He213)978-3-030-67136-5(EXLCZ)99410000001180162520210319d2021 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierAdult Education as Empowerment Re-imagining Lifelong Learning through the Capability Approach, Recognition Theory and Common Goods Perspective /by Pepka Boyadjieva, Petya Ilieva-Trichkova1st ed. 2021.Cham :Springer International Publishing :Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan,2021.1 online resource (xxi, 343 pages) illustrationsPalgrave Studies in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning,2524-63219783030671358 3030671356 1. Houle Award This book re-imagines the essence and role of adult education at both the individual and societal levels. It provides arguments for understanding adult education as a process of agency and empowerment, which has not only instrumental but intrinsic and transformative roles to play. This book brings together ideas from the capability approach with insights from recognition theory; the embeddedness approach; the political economic perspective for understanding public and private goods and the common goods perspective. The analysis draws on data from large-scale international studies – alongside qualitative data - and adopts a wide-ranging European comparative perspective. The book develops original instruments for measuring different dimensions of adult education as a common good, and its realisation in different social contexts. It is aimed at academics, students, practitioners, and policy makers interested in adult and/or higher education and the social justice perspective to human life.Palgrave Studies in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning,2524-6321Continuing educationEducation and stateEducationPhilosophyProfessional educationVocational educationLifelong LearningEducational Policy and PoliticsPhilosophy of EducationEducational PhilosophyProfessional and Vocational EducationContinuing education.Education and state.EducationPhilosophy.Professional education.Vocational education.Lifelong Learning.Educational Policy and Politics.Philosophy of Education.Educational Philosophy.Professional and Vocational Education.374374Boi︠a︡dzhieva Pepka851958Ilieva-Trichkova PetyaMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910483295203321Adult education as empowerment1902290UNINA
