It offers a historical overview of Christianity's engagement with the development of democracy, before focusing in detail on the period since the 1970's. Successive chapters deal with: the Roman Catholic conversion to democracy and the contribution of that church to democratisation; the Eastern Orthodox 'hesitation' about democracy; the alleged threat to American democracy posed by the politicisation of conservative Protestantism; anPerspectives on democratic practice (Manchester, England)DemocracyReligious aspectsChristianityElectronic books. AnthropologySociologyhydrologieanthropologiesociologiehydrologieanthropologiesociologieAnthropologySociologyhydrologieanthropologiesociologieRiaux Jeanne1320644FR-FrMaCLEBOOK9910518207003321Une anthropologie chez les hydrologues3034421UNINA03915nam 22007213 450 991073729190332120230911124924.090-485-6024-110.1515/9789048560240(CKB)5590000001150188(MiAaPQ)EBC30719770(Au-PeEL)EBL30719770(DE-B1597)662370(DE-B1597)9789048560240(OCoLC)1378570879(EXLCZ)99559000000115018820230911d2023 uy 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierPathways in Decentralised Collective Bargaining in Europe1st ed.Amsterdam :Amsterdam University Press,2023.©2023.1 online resource (248 pages)90-485-6023-3 Frontmatter -- Table of Contents -- 1. Trade Union Participation and Influence in Decentralised Collective Bargaining -- Authors -- List of Tables and Figures -- IndexOne of the main challenges in labour relations in Europe is the ongoing decentralisation of collective bargaining from national and sectoral levels to company levels. Decentralisation might be an answer to business needs in competitiveness and organisational flexibility. However, it risks erosion of collective bargaining structures, more inequality in employment conditions and fragmentation in trade unions’ powers. Based on recent qualitative research, this book shows high varieties across European countries and economic sectors in degrees, forms and impacts of decentralisation. The authors explore, in interdisciplinary and multi-level perspectives, continuity and change in regulating and practicing collective bargaining in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden. In cross-country comparisons, company case studies in manufacturing and retail show the divergent effects of national regimes and social partners’ power resources on trade unions’ strategies and influence in company bargaining.Collective bargainingEuropean Union countriesCase studiesCollective bargainingEuropean Union countriesLabor unionsEuropean Union countriesWagesEuropean Union countriesHISTORY / Europe / GeneralbisacshCollective bargainingCollective bargainingLabor unionsWagesHISTORY / Europe / General.331.89094Tros Frank1424236Armaroli Ilaria, Czarzasty Jan, Haipeter Thomas, Iossa Andrea, Jansen Niels, Kahmann Marcus, Muñoz Ruiz Ana Belén, Paolucci Valentina, Ramos Martín Nuria, Rosenbohm Sophie, Rönnmar Mia, Tros Frank, Tros Frank, Vincent Catherine, MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910737291903321Pathways in Decentralised Collective Bargaining in Europe3553354UNINA
