Theatre of the street -- Conclusion: spectral spaces.Seamus Heaney once described the 'sense of place' generated by the early Abbey theatre as the 'imaginative protein' of later Irish writing. Drawing on theorists of space such as Henri Lefebvre and Yi-Fu Tuan, Mapping Irish Theatre argues that theatre is 'a machine for making place from space'. Concentrating on Irish theatre, the book investigates how this Irish 'sense of place' was both produced by, and produced, the remarkable work of the Irish Revival, before considering what happens when this spatial formation begins to fade. Exploring more recent site-specific and place-specific theatre alongside canonical works of Irish theatre by playwrights including J. M. Synge, Samuel Beckett and Brian Friel, the study proposes an original theory of theatrical space and theatrical identification, whose application extends beyond Irish theatre, and will be useful for all theatre scholars.TheaterIrelandHistoryTheaterHistory.792.09417/0904Morash Chris1963-1052214Richards ShaunUkCbUPUkCbUPBOOK9910464358403321Mapping Irish theatre2483270UNINA00957nam a2200241 i 450099100023749970753620020527111004.0010810s1987 it ||| | ita b10049770-39ule_instPARLA217993ExLDip.to Filosofiaita780.8Steiner, Rudolf33031L'essenza della musica e l'esperienza del suono nell'uomo :sette conferenze tenute a Colonia, Berlino, Lipsia, Stoccarda e Dornach ... /Rudolf SteinerMilano :Editrice Antroposofica,1987207 p. ;17 cm.Musica.b1004977021-09-0627-06-02991000237499707536LE005 MF 30 A 3012005000216534le005-E0.00-l- 0102100.i1005789427-06-02Essenza della musica e l'esperienza del suono nell'uomo193433UNISALENTOle00501-01-01ma -itait 21
