In 1967 and 1968, during the Cultural Revolution, collective killings were widespread in rural China in the form of public execution. Victims included women, children, and the elderly. This book is the first to systematically document and analyze these atrocities, drawing data from local archives, government documents, and interviews with survivors in two southern provinces. This book extracts from the Chinese case lessons that challenge the prevailing models of genocide and mass killings and contributes to the historiography of the Cultural Revolution, in which scholarship has mainly focused on events in urban areas.Cambridge studies in contentious politics.GenocideChinaHistory20th centuryChinaHistoryCultural Revolution, 1966-1976GenocideHistory951.05/6Su Yang1964-1057037UkCbUPUkCbUPBOOK9910459700203321Collective killings in rural China during the cultural revolution2491868UNINA05039nam 22004815 450 991088109780332120240912152628.09783031686177(electronic bk.)978303168616010.1007/978-3-031-68617-7(MiAaPQ)EBC31608166(Au-PeEL)EBL31608166(CKB)34118597300041(DE-He213)978-3-031-68617-7(EXLCZ)993411859730004120240819d2024 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierArtificial Intelligence and Knowledge Processing Third International Conference, AIKP 2023, Hyderabad, India, October 6–8, 2023, Revised Selected Papers /edited by Hemachandran K, Raul Villamarin Rodriguez, Manjeet Rege, Vincenzo Piuri, Guandong Xu, Kok-Leong Ong1st ed. 2024.Cham :Springer Nature Switzerland :Imprint: Springer,2024.1 online resource (417 pages)Communications in Computer and Information Science,1865-0937 ;2127Print version: K, Hemachandran Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Processing Cham : Springer,c2024 9783031686160 Includes bibliographical references and index. -- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. -- Dynamic Inventory Management using AI: A Case on Data Robot. -- Feature Extraction Using Naive Bayes and Logistic Regression for Survival of the COPD Patients. -- How do Senior Secondary Level Students and their Teacher Perceive Artificial Intelligence and its Implementation?
