In spite of such an accomplishment, the current economic growth model in China, which is mainly triggered by the export-led policy and the huge government investment, has been challenged by potential external and internal risks, which do not support sustainable economic growth in the long run. In this book, we comprehensively review the corporate governance practices in China, based on which we try to identify the major problems within such practices. We contend that these problems have been seen as the major challenges facing the Chinese economy, and we further argue that the current weakness of corporate governance practices in China can be ascribed, to a great extent, to the incompleteness and weakness of law enforcement.Corporate governance collection.1948-0415Corporate governanceChinaElectronic books.Chinacorporate governanceexternal governance mechanismsinternal governance mechanismslaw enforcementCorporate governance658.400951Chen Jean Jinghan.932135MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910459243203321A primer on corporate governance2096785UNINA01264nam 2200325z- 450 991069440990332120080522083251.0(CKB)5860000000036436(BIP)021656221(EXLCZ)99586000000003643620220406c2007uuuu -u- -engWildfire preparedness an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure : oversight hearing before the Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands of the Committee on Natural Resources, U.S. House of Representatives, One Hundred Tenth Congress, first session, Tuesday, June 19, 20071 online resource (iii, 92 p.) ill0-16-080792-1 Wildfire preparedness WildfiresUnited StatesPrevention and controlFuel reduction (Wildfire prevention)United StatesForest thinningUnited StatesForest firesFire preventionNatureTechnology & engineeringWildfiresPrevention and control.Fuel reduction (Wildfire prevention)Forest thinningBOOK9910694409903321Wildfire preparedness3201450UNINA
