It is wise to respect that that reputation is deserved." "How do you modify the inner workings and culture of a massive institution with minimal resources and even less authority (other than GE course approvals), and thousands and thousands of talented people busy doing other things?" "The road to departmental assessment can seem both dramatic and apocalyptic, especially if one's departmental 'centre cannot hold,' and purpose falls apart. Especially nationalist remembrance in the late 19th century and the memory of the First World War stimulated a memorial boom in the period which the present book is focusing on. The remembrance of war is nothing particularly new in history, since victories in decisive battles had been of interest since ancient times. However, the age of nationalism and the First World War triggered a new level of war remembrance that was expressed in countless memorials all over the world. The present volume presents the research of international specialists from different disciplines within the Humanities, whose research is dealing with the role of war memorials for the remembrance of conflicts like the First World War and their perceptions within the analyzed societies. It will be shown how memorials - in several different chronological and geographical contexts - were used to remember the dead, remind the survivors, and warn the descendants.War (Hi) Stories ;Volume 3.First World WarGlobal HistoryHistory of MemoryMilitary HistoryWar MemorialsFirst World WarGlobal HistoryHistory of MemoryMilitary HistoryWar Memorials940.465Baines GaryctbBetts SarahctbCarlton SallyctbEdwards SamctbGoodwin ChristopherctbMedlock ChelseactbParker LindactbOsborne Mary EctbSmyth HannactbJacob FrankedtPearl KennethedtDanielsson Sarah KedtShaw Jeffrey MedtKümper HiramedtMüller SabineedtAngelow JürgenedtGerlach ChristianedtClauss MartinedtMoritz VerenaedtRinke StefanedtSchüler-Springorum StefanieedtTöppel RomanedtWintjes JoritedtMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910795007403321War and Memorials3689331UNINA03646nam 22006972 450 991079135270332120151005020624.01-107-20746-00-511-84956-71-282-63711-897866126371170-511-69047-90-511-68973-X0-511-68898-90-511-69233-10-511-69178-50-511-69121-1(CKB)2560000000014462(EBL)501329(OCoLC)689995604(SSID)ssj0000412312(PQKBManifestationID)11294112(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000412312(PQKBWorkID)10366460(PQKB)10800477(UkCbUP)CR9780511691782(MiAaPQ)EBC501329(Au-PeEL)EBL501329(CaPaEBR)ebr10395499(CaONFJC)MIL263711(PPN)261336444(EXLCZ)99256000000001446220100219d2010|||| uy| 0engur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierAtlas of musculoskeletal ultrasound anatomy /Mike Bradley, Paul O'Donnell[electronic resource]Second edition.Cambridge :Cambridge University Press,2010.1 online resource (xi, 222 pages) digital, PDF file(s)Title from publisher's bibliographic system (viewed on 05 Oct 2015).0-521-72809-6 Chest and Neck: Supraclavicular fossa -- Infraclavicular fossa -- Sternoclavicular joint -- Chest wall -- Axilla -- Upper Limb: Shoulder -- Upper arm -- Elbow -- Forearm -- Wrist -- Hand -- Abdomen and Pelvis: Anterior wall -- Posterior wall -- Groin -- Pelvis and hip -- Lower Limb: Thigh -- Knee -- Calf -- Ankle -- Foot.Atlas of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Anatomy provides an essential grounding in normal ultrasound anatomy, enabling the reader to assess whether anatomy is disrupted through injury or disease.
