Over the past two centuries it has been a palliative medicine, an addictive substance, a powerful mechanism for concentrating and transferring wealth and power between nations, and the anchor for a now vanished sociocultural world in and around China.Drug controlDrug trafficDrug traffic - China - HistoryNarcotics, Control of - China - HistoryOpium tradeOpium trade-- China-- HistoryChinaRelationsGreat BritainGreat BritainRelationsChinaChinaRelationsJapanJapanRelationsChinaElectronic books.Drug control.Drug traffic.Drug traffic - China - History.Narcotics, Control of - China - History.Opium trade.Opium trade-- China-- History.363.45/0951382.413750951Brook Timothy647552Wakabayashi Bob Tadashi897627AU-PeELAU-PeELAU-PeELBOOK9910455463803321Opium Regimes2005452UNINA02625oam 2200361zu 450 991021997470332120220909165729.0(CKB)3360000000476963(SSID)ssj0000597578(PQKBManifestationID)12207081(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000597578(PQKBWorkID)10578254(PQKB)11155602(EXLCZ)99336000000047696320160829d2007 uh 0engtxtccrAir Force enlisted force management system interactions and synchronization strategies /Lionel A. Galway [et al.]Santa Monica, CA :Rand Corp ;2007Bibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: MonographIntroduction Objectives of enlisted force strength management The enlisted aggregate strength management system The enlisted disaggregate strength management system The enlisted promotion system The manpower system Strategies to improve synchronization of the strength management system with the enlisted promotion and manpower systems Conclusions and recommendations Appendix Selected manpower grade rations over timeA fundamental goal of the Air Force personnel system is to ensure that the manpower inventory, by Air Force specialty code and grade, matches requirements. However, there are structural obstacles that impede achieving this goal. The three major independently managed systems the Air Force uses to determine manpower strength currently tend to function in isolation. Because the current organizational structure lacks broad coordinating and control mechanisms, actions taken to control one system often adversely affect another. The authors lay the foundation for a discussion of policy changes that would better synchronize these systems. They propose a methodology that would marginally modify grade authorizations within skill levels to make it possible to better achieve manpower targets. Each specialty would retain the same number of authorizations within each skill level, and the aggregate solution would maintain the same total number of enlisted authorizations by grade. This would help the manpower community follow the policy of equal selection opportunity while also taking personnel management system capabilities into account.358.4/1338Schiefer MichaelProject Air Force (U.S.)Rand CorporationPQKBBOOK9910219974703321Air Force enlisted force management2908502UNINA05370nam 2201561z- 450 991055750780332120231214133200.0(CKB)5400000000044478(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/69080(EXLCZ)99540000000004447820202105d2020 |y 0engurmn|---annantxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierNutraceutical, Nutrition Supplements and Human HealthBasel, SwitzerlandMDPI - Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute20201 electronic resource (348 p.)3-03936-555-X 3-03936-556-8 This Special Issue of Nutrients on "Nutraceutical, Nutrition Supplements, and Human Health" provides readers with contemporary knowledge on the role of functional foods, dietary supplements, and nutraceuticals in improving overall health and preventing chronic diseases.
