Introducing Fatherhood and Law -- 2. Fatherhood and 'Natural' Reproduction -- 3. Fatherhood and Assisted Reproduction -- 4. Marital Fatherhood -- 5. Post-Separation Fatherhood -- 6. Unmarried Fatherhood -- 7. Fragmenting FatherhoodDebates about the future of fatherhood have been central to a range of conversations about changing family forms, parenting and society. Law has served an important, yet often neglected, role in these discussions, serving as an important focal point for broader political frustrations, playing a central role in mediating disputes, and operating as a significant, symbolic, state-sanctioned account of the scope of paternal rights and responsibilities. Fragmenting Fatherhood provides the first sustained engagement with the way that fatherhood has been understood, constructed and regulated within English law. Drawing on a range of disparate legal provisions and material from diverse disciplines, it sketches the major contours of the figure of the father as drawn in law and social policy, tracing shifts in legal and broader understandings of what it means to be a 'father'and what rights and obligations should accrue to that status. In thematically linked chapters cutting across substantive areas of law, the book locates fatherhood as a key site of contestation within broader political debates regarding the family and gender equality. Multiple visions of fatherhood, evolving unevenly over time across diverse areas of law, emerge from this analysis. Fatherhood is revealed as an essentially fragmented status and one which is intertwined in complex ways with the legal, cultural and political contexts in which discourses of parenthood are produced. Fragmenting Fatherhood provides an important and unique resource, speaking to debates about fatherhood across a range of fields including law and legal theory, sociology, gender studies, social policy, marriage and the family, women's studies and gender studiesFamiliesFatherhoodSocial aspectsFathersLegal status, laws, etcEnglandFathersLegal status, laws, etcWalesParent and child (Law)EnglandParent and child (Law)WalesFamily lawElectronic books.Families.FatherhoodSocial aspects.FathersLegal status, laws, etc.FathersLegal status, laws, etc.Parent and child (Law)Parent and child (Law)346.42017Collier Richard1961-1030765Sheldon SallyUtOrBLWUtOrBLWUkLoBPBOOK9910454275503321Fragmenting fatherhood2447826UNINA02669nam 2200385 450 991047696790332120230224135228.0(CKB)5470000000568263(NjHacI)995470000000568263(EXLCZ)99547000000056826320230224d2018 uy 0itaur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierCorpi, strumenti, narrazioni officine didattiche per una geografia inclusiva /a cura di Diego Gallinelli, Stefano MalatestaMilan :FrancoAngeli,[2018]©20181 online resource (148 pages)Tratti geografici. Materiali di ricerca e risorse educative ;Volume 5Includes bibliographical references. The volume aims to provide an updated overview of School Geography as an inclusive knowledge. As teachers and citizens, we daily deal with the differences we meet. Working and living with a group of students implies, in fact, working and living in contact with the difference, defined by its dimensions: gender, physical ability, cultural heritage, social or economic backgrounds. Following this perspective, the "Officine didattiche" are thought of as a powerful opportunity in fostering the integration between methodological frameworks and educational practices. Inspired by the experience of the "Officine didattiche", organized during the 59° Convegno Nazionale AIIG (held from September 29th to October 3rd, 2016 at the Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia - Università La Sapienza), the book has been set as an operative tool for teachers. The authors of the contributions integrated theoretical reflections with the didactic relevance emerged from their training experiences. The main aim of this volume is to provide methodological and practical supports and to act as an operative source in planning and conducting training courses for teachers. The contributions are organized in three parts: "Corpi", "Strumenti" and "Narrazioni", re-proposing the guiding themes of the "Officine" set in Rome. Furthermore, these three "parts" work as thematic axes connecting the book to the contemporary debate on school and children Geographies.Corpi, strumenti, narrazioni GeographyStudy and teachingGeographyStudy and teaching.910.71Gallinelli DiegoMalatesta StefanoNjHacINjHaclBOOK9910476967903321Corpi, strumenti, narrazioni1544836UNINA
