Films like Double Indemnity, Ace in the Hole, and Kiss Me Deadly alongside novels by Dashiel Hammett and Raymond Chandler provide rich examples for the first half of the study. The second islargely devoted to works less commonly understood in relation to the hard-boiled and noir canon. Examinations of the conspiracy films from the Seventies and Eighties-like Klute and The Parallax View-novels by Thomas Pynchon, Chester Himes and William Gibson reveal the persistence and evolution of these authenticity effects across the second half of the American twentieth century.Detective and mystery stories, AmericanHistory and criticismNoir fiction, AmericanHistory and criticismFilm noirUnited StatesHistory and criticismNational characteristics, American, in literatureMasculinity in literatureElectronic books.Detective and mystery stories, AmericanHistory and criticism.Noir fiction, AmericanHistory and criticism.Film noirHistory and criticism.National characteristics, American, in literature.Masculinity in literature.813/.087209Dussere Erik1968-1051952MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910452512903321America is elsewhere2482860UNINA02156nam0 22004813i 450 AQ1000916320251003044041.0883865022520241218d1994 ||||0itac50 baitaengitz01i xxxe z01nz01ncRDAcarrierMatriciFrank Ayres jrMilano [etc.]McGraw-Hill libri Italia1994218 p.26 cmSchaumʼs9Trad. di Walter MalonIn cop.: 340 problemi risolti.001TSA00029412001 Schaumʼs9Schaum's outline of theory and problems of matricesRAV0151247RAVV061797437084Matrici <matematica>FIRCFIC015820IMatrici algebricheFIRUBSC001536N512.9FONDAMENTI DELL'ALGEBRA14512.943Algebra scolastica.
