Article 1 of the First Protocol to the Convention is particularly important, as it protects against the interference with the enjoyment of possessions. Compulsory acquisition, insolvency, planning, taxation, environmental regulation, and landlord and tenant laws are just some of the fields where the British and European courts have already had to assess the impact of the Protocol on private property. The Human Rights Act 1998 also restricts the scope of property rights, as some Convention rights conflict with rights of private property. For example, the Article 8 right to respect for the home has been used to protect against environmental harm, in some cases at the expense of property and economic rights. This book seeks to provide a structured approach to the extensive case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the UK courts on these issues, and to provide guidance on the direction the law is likely to take in future. Chapters cover the history and drafting of the relevant Convention rights, the scope and structure of the rights (especially Article 1 of the First Protocol), and how, through the Human Rights Act 1998, the Convention rights have already affected and are likely to affect developments in selected areas of English law."--Bloomsbury Publishing.Human rights law in perspective.Human rightsEnglandHuman rightsEuropean Union countriesHuman rightsWalesPersonal propertyEnglandPersonal propertyWalesInternational human rights lawElectronic books.Human rightsHuman rightsHuman rightsPersonal propertyPersonal property346.4204Allen Tom1959-1034397UtOrBLWUtOrBLWBOOK9910451458103321Property and the Human Rights Act 19982488544UNINA02407nam 2200613Ia 450 991046356520332120200520144314.00-8143-3721-X(CKB)3240000000065451(OCoLC)843208720(CaPaEBR)ebrary10715400(SSID)ssj0001054631(PQKBManifestationID)11588489(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001054631(PQKBWorkID)11133869(PQKB)10516380(MiAaPQ)EBC3416501(MdBmJHUP)muse15872(Au-PeEL)EBL3416501(CaPaEBR)ebr10715400(EXLCZ)99324000000006545120120201h20122012 uy 0engurcn|||||||||txtccrThe Russian folktale by Vladimir Yakovlevich Propp[electronic resource] /edited and translated by Sibelan Forrester ; foreword by Jack ZipesDetroit Wayne State University Pressc20121 online resource (413 p.)Series in fairy-tale studiesBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph0-8143-3466-0 Includes bibliographical references and index.Foreword: toward understanding the complete Vladimir Propp / Jack Zipes -- Vladimir Propp and the Russian folktale / Sibelan Forrester -- The Russian folktale / Vladimir Yakolevich Propp. Introduction ; The history of collection ; The history of study of the folktale ; Wonder tales ; Novellistic tales ; Cumulative tales ; Animal tales ; The life of the folktale.Series in fairy-tale studies.TalesRussia (Federation)History and criticismFairy talesClassificationFolkloreRussia (Federation)Electronic books.TalesHistory and criticism.Fairy talesClassification.Folklore398.20947Propp V.
