John Williams and C. Paul Newhouse. It was the belief that assessment is the driving force of curriculum that motivated the authors of this monograph to embark on a program of research and development into the use of digital technologies to support more authentic forms of assessment. They perceived that in responding to the educational needs of children in the 21st Century, curriculum needed to become more relevant and engaging, but that change was unlikely without commensurate change in methods and forms of assessment. This was particularly true for the high-stakes assessment typically conducted at the conclusion of schooling as this tended to become the focus of the implemented curriculum throughout the years of school. Therefore the authors chose to focus on this area of assessment with the understanding that this would inform assessment policy and practices generally in schools. This book provides a conceptual framework and outlines a project in which digital methods of representing students performance were developed and tested in the subject areas of Applied Information Technology, Engineering, Italian and Physical Education. The methodology and data collection processes are discussed, and the data is analysed, providing the basis for conclusions and recommendations.StudentsRating ofTechnological innovationsEducational tests and measurementsTechnological innovationsEducational technologyStudentsRating ofTechnological innovations.Educational tests and measurementsTechnological innovations.Educational technology.221Williams P. The book takes the students through the full cycle of research until the point of submission and evaluation. The book begins by providing postgraduate research students with the foundational concepts and techniques to simplify the complexities associated with choosing topics in the computer science (CS), information systems (IS) and cybersecurity (CY) research domains. The authors furnish readers with fundamentals that facilitate active quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research enquiries. The content offers important perspectives on how to think about deepening research in CS, IS and CY, noting that these subjects can be studied from computational sciences, engineering sciences, health sciences, social sciences, or interdisciplinary perspectives. This unique and contemporary book aims to benefit researchers, graduate students and engineers in the fields of computer science, information systems and cybersecurity in particular, in addition to other engineering and technology disciplines. Provides a roadmap for CS, information systems and cybersecurity grappling with framing research topics Presents a path for embarking on research projects by reducing complexities to understanding the topics’ relevant needs Distinguishes computer science, information systems and cybersecurity research while highlighting their intersection in a practical way.Engineering designOperations researchResearchMethodologyTechnological innovationsEngineering DesignOperations Research and Decision TheoryResearch SkillsInnovation and Technology ManagementOperations ResearchStudy SkillsManagement ScienceBusiness & EconomicsStudy AidsEngineering design.Operations research.ResearchMethodology.Technological innovations.Engineering Design.Operations Research and Decision Theory.Research Skills.Innovation and Technology Management.004.072004.072Mbanaso Uche M1383177Abrahams Lucienne1383178Okafor Kennedy Chinedu1383179MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910736991603321Research Techniques for Computer Science, Information Systems and Cybersecurity3427762UNINA03058oam 2200661I 450 991081715990332120240418075627.01-315-71838-31-317-51282-010.4324/9781315718385 (CKB)3710000000421672(EBL)3569402(SSID)ssj0001573690(PQKBManifestationID)16227992(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001573690(PQKBWorkID)14841299(PQKB)10958671(MiAaPQ)EBC3569402(OCoLC)910847928(EXLCZ)99371000000042167220180706e20151980 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrThe state, the family and education /Miriam E.
