This book addresses the close links between EDs and exercise, helping us to understand why people with EDs often exercise to excessive and potentially harmful levels. This is also the first book to examine this issue from an ethical and legal perspective, identifying the rights and responsibilities of people with EDs, their families and the fitness professionals and clinicians that work with them. The book offers an accessible account of EDs and closely examines the concept of addiction. One writes the name of the other: a fugitive, timeless and banal scene. Only a modest written record remains. Thanks to it, however, we can, centuries later, re-experience the exact moment of this exchange. Sometimes the fugitively captured name will be the only vestige of completely extinct languages. For epigraphies of fragmentary attestation, understanding that it is a proper name, isolating it and deciphering it is in itself a first task. It is then necessary to analyze the treatment of this name in the language of reception, the required adaptations and retrace the context in which the object was written. With these few pieces, the background image of the cultural and linguistic puzzle of ancient societies is reconstituted. This book aims to constitute and leaf through the album of a dozen of these linguistic snapshots all around the ancient Mediterranean. Curia romana nell'età moderna La Curia romana nell'età moderna Rome (Italy)Church historyChristian sectsReligionRosa Mario1932-139777BOOK9910140203703321La Curia romana nell'età moderna2883549UNINA03072nam 22006375 450 991033804360332120250609112057.09783030141059303014105510.1007/978-3-030-14105-9(CKB)4100000007823519(MiAaPQ)EBC5744623(DE-He213)978-3-030-14105-9(PPN)259459720(Perlego)3490882(MiAaPQ)EBC5918076(EXLCZ)99410000000782351920190401d2019 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierContemporary Oligarchies in Developed Democracies /by Shelly Gottfried1st ed. 2019.Cham :Springer International Publishing :Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan,2019.1 online resource (241 pages)9783030141042 3030141047 1. Chapter 4: Financialization and Oligarchization -- 5. Chapter 5: The Consolidation of the 'Liberal' Oligarchy -- 6. Chapter 6: 'Populist Oliagarchy' in the Aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis. 7. Chapter 7: Conclusions. The book analyzes concentrations of wealth and power in developed democracies. It shows that economic measures, which states adopted during the 1980s and 1990s, had evolved first into liberal oligarchy, and later, after the 2007-2008 global financial crisis, into illiberal and populist oligarchy. The shape and content of these two kinds of oligarchy have been determined largely because of practices and political strategies that powerful state and market actors employed. This project will appeal to a wide audience including academics, researchers, students, and anyone who is interested in oligarchy political power, IR, political economy, and sociology.
