The 'hierarchy problem', astrophysical data and experiments on neutrinos indicate that new physics can be expected at the now accessible TeV scale. This work investigates extensions of the Standard Model with gravitons and gravitinos (in the context of supergravity). The production of these particles in association with jets is studied as one of the most promising avenues for researching new physics at the LHC. Advanced simulation techniques and tools, such as algorithms allowing the computation of Feynman graphs and helicity amplitudes are first developed and then employed.Springer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,2190-5053Elementary particles (Physics)Quantum field theoryString theoryCosmologyMathematical physicsElementary Particles, Quantum Field Theoryhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P23029Quantum Field Theories, String Theoryhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P19048Cosmologyhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P22049Mathematical Physicshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M35000Elementary particles (Physics).Quantum field theory.String theory.Cosmology.Mathematical physics.Elementary Particles, Quantum Field Theory.Quantum Field Theories, String Theory.Cosmology.Mathematical Physics.539.736de Aquino Priscilaauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut791340BOOK9910300380403321Beyond Standard Model Phenomenology at the LHC1768718UNINA
