This apparently very simple group is in fact quite atypical: it is maximally almost periodic, which leads to much simpler harmonic analysis compared to SE(2). Based upon this semi-discrete model, the authors improve on previous image-reconstruction algorithms and develop a pattern-recognition theory that also leads to very efficient algorithms in practice.SpringerBriefs in Mathematics,2191-8198Harmonic analysisComputer science—MathematicsComputer scienceMathematicsOptical data processingAbstract Harmonic Analysishttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12015Mathematical Applications in Computer Sciencehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M13110Computer Imaging, Vision, Pattern Recognition and Graphicshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I22005Harmonic analysis.Computer science—Mathematics.Computer scienceMathematics.Optical data processing.Abstract Harmonic Analysis.Mathematical Applications in Computer Science.Computer Imaging, Vision, Pattern Recognition and Graphics.515.785Prandi Darioauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut767706Gauthier Jean-Paulauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/autBOOK9910300117103321A Semidiscrete Version of the Citti-Petitot-Sarti Model as a Plausible Model for Anthropomorphic Image Reconstruction and Pattern Recognition2047138UNINA
