The family and the community were the core institutions of east European Jewish society. These realities were always dynamic and evolving but in the 19th century, the pace of change in almost every area of life was exceptionally rapid. This text deals with these social realities. The result is a picture that is far from the stereotyped view of the past that is common today, but a more honest and more comprehensive one. Topics covered consider the learning experiences of both males and females of different ages. They also deal with and distinguish between study among the well off and learned and study among the poorer masses.Liverpool scholarship online.JewsEurope, EasternSocial conditions19th centuryJewsEurope, EasternSocial life and customsJewish religious educationEurope, EasternHistory19th centuryJewish familiesEurope, EasternHistory19th centuryJewsSocial conditionsJewsSocial life and customs.Jewish religious educationHistoryJewish familiesHistory305.892404709034Stampfer Shaul1714190StDuBDSStDuBDSBOOK9910814390503321Families, rabbis and education4107793UNINA01708nas 2200421 n 450 99000898611040332120240229084619.00894-8763000898611FED01000898611(Aleph)000898611FED01000898611CNRP 0013828920090724b19882005km-y0itaa50------baengUSauu--------Journal of applied meteorology(1988)1988-2005Boston, MAAmerican Meteorological SocietyMensile2001Journal of applied meteorology and climatology0010008987042001Journal of climate and applied meteorology2001Journal of applied meteorology (Online)Journal of applied meteorologyJ. Since expectations concerning the costs and benefits of integration are varied, it is our aim to contribute to this discussion by undertaking an empirical assessment of integration. Firstly the extent of potential free labour mobility between the CEEC and the EU is assessed using an econometric model. On that basis, different integration scenarios, i.e. trade liberalisation, capital transfers and labour migration are simulated using a computable general equilibrium model. Our results suggest that migration flows will be moderate and that integration is likely to cause positive welfare effects in the CEEC and negligible effects in the EU.Schriften Zur Wirtschaftstheorie und Wirtschaftspolitik SeriesSchriften zur Wirtschaftstheorie und Wirtschaftspolitik vol. 20Enlarging the European UnionSociology & anthropologybicsscPolitical science & theorybicsscEconomic theory & philosophybicsscLabour economicsbicsscInternational tradebicsscAssessmentCentralComputableDifferentEasternEnlargingEquilibriumEuropeEuropeanGeneralHilleIntegrationScenariosUnionSociology & anthropologyPolitical science & theoryEconomic theory & philosophyLabour economicsInternational trade341.242/2Straubhaar ThomasedtHille Hubertus1970-autPH02PH02BOOK9910297044403321Enlarging the European Union4174580UNINA
