Commissioned by the Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA), this review critiques the most current Australasian research in mathematics education in the four years from 2008-2011. The main objective of this review is to celebrate and recognise significant findings; highlight relationships between research; identify themes; and forecast further research directions. This theme-based review has produced a comprehensive analysis of Australasian research in a politically challenging time—producing a manuscript with implications for a wider, international, audience. As the 2009 Felix Klein medal winner Gilah Leder states: A substantial body of research is captured in the chapters of this review. It encompasses the labours of a community of active researchers, with varied interests and diverse theoretical perspectives. Some of the issues explored in the period covered by this volume clearly resonate with questions and concerns particularly pertinent to the changing educational environment; others are more aptly described as continuing or renewed explorations of areas of long standing concern.MathematicsStudy and teachingAustralasiaMathematicsStudy and teaching370Perry Bob1618956MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910821944903321Research in mathematics education in Australasia 2008-20113950971UNINA06271nam 22006855 450 991025511830332120200629122645.03-319-58329-810.1007/978-3-319-58329-7(CKB)4340000000062542(MiAaPQ)EBC4898822(DE-He213)978-3-319-58329-7(EXLCZ)99434000000006254220170704d2017 u| 0engurcnu||||||||rdacontentrdamediardacarrierFamilies and Transition to School /edited by Sue Dockett, Wilfried Griebel, Bob Perry1st ed. 2017.Cham :Springer International Publishing :Imprint: Springer,2017.1 online resource (271 pages) illustrationsInternational Perspectives on Early Childhood Education and Development,2468-8746 ;213-319-58327-1 Includes bibliographical references at the end of each chapters.1. It celebrates the roles of families, locating them as integral partners in time of transition and identifying a variety of ways in which families and educators can work together with children to promote positive transitions. The book draws on a range of theoretical frameworks and research projects to provide multiple perspectives of family involvement in education, family-educator partnerships, the nature of collaboration, issues for families in marginalised or complex circumstances, as well as the multiple intersections of families and transition processes. The research projects reported range from in-depth case studies to the analysis of large-scale data sets and all have multiple messages for practitioners, policy makers and researchers as they seek ways to engage with families as their children start school.International Perspectives on Early Childhood Education and Development,2468-8746 ;21Child developmentEducational policyEducation and stateSchoolsInternational education Comparative educationEarly Childhood Educationhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/O37000Educational Policy and Politicshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/O19000Schools and Schoolinghttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/O52000International and Comparative Educationhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/O13000Child development.Educational policy.Education and state.Schools.International education .Comparative education.Early Childhood Education.Educational Policy and Politics.Schools and Schooling.International and Comparative Education.372Dockett Sueedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtGriebel Wilfriededthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtPerry Bobedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910255118303321Families and Transition to School2496901UNINA01237nas# 22003373i 450 VAN0026356420240806101512.6131752-231501461791920230921b19992006 |0itac50 baengGB|||| |||||aA|||||||||zr i e bThe European journal of social qualityOxfordBerghahn Books1999-2006.001VAN002635632001 The International journal of social quality210 OxfordBerghahn Journals2011-GBOxfordVANL000020BerghahneditoreVANV115240650Berghahn BooksBerghahn <editore>VANV232542ITSOL20240906RICAhttps://www.jstor.org/journal/intejsociqualE - Journal - accesso al full-text attraverso indirizzo IP di Ateneo, proxy e/o ShibbolethBIBLIOTECA DEL DIPARTIMENTO DI PSICOLOGIAIT-CE0119VAN161999-2006.Jstor ;NVAN00263564BIBLIOTECA DEL DIPARTIMENTO DI PSICOLOGIA161999-2006.European journal of social quality3559097UNICAMPANIA
