Using a sophisticated weak-coupling approach, exact within certain limits, it shows that proper treatment of spin-orbit and multi-band effects is crucial to the physics. Based on the results of these calculations, it resolves a crucial, long-standing puzzle in the field: It demonstrates why the experimentally observed time-reversal breaking is not incompatible with the observed lack of measurable edge currents. Lastly, the thesis makes predictions for the properties of the material under uniaxial strain, which are in good agreement with recent experiments —resolving the mystery of the so-called 3K phase, and suggesting the intriguing possibility that under strain the superconductor may become conventional.Springer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,2190-5053SuperconductivitySuperconductorsMathematical physicsStrongly Correlated Systems, Superconductivityhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25064Theoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physicshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P19005Superconductivity.Superconductors.Mathematical physics.Strongly Correlated Systems, Superconductivity.Theoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physics.537.623Scaffidi Thomasauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut825083MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910254576503321Weak-Coupling Theory of Topological Superconductivity2283943UNINA02901oam 2200673 a 450 991096878850332120200520144314.097984006801829786612408984978128240898212824089849780313058219031305821010.5040/9798400680182(CKB)1000000000807115(EBL)491998(OCoLC)61253218(SSID)ssj0000339885(PQKBManifestationID)11293898(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000339885(PQKBWorkID)10364906(PQKB)11199697(Au-PeEL)EBL491998(CaPaEBR)ebr10347199(CaONFJC)MIL240898(MiAaPQ)EBC491998(DLC)BP9798400680182BC(Perlego)4168534(EXLCZ)99100000000080711520240214e20042024 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrLiterature of Africa /Douglas Killam1st ed.Westport, Conn. :Greenwood Press,2004.London :Bloomsbury Publishing (UK),20241 online resource (224 p.)Literature as windows to world cultures,1543-9968Description based upon print version of record.9780313319013 0313319014 Includes bibliographical references (p. As part of Greenwood's Literature as Windows to World Culture series, this volume introduces readers to the cultural concerns of 10 of Africa's most reknowned writers. Written in clear accessible language, close analysis is given for 14 novels, including Achebe's Things Fall Apart, and Paton's Cry the Beloved Country, chosen because of their literary importance aLiterature as windows to world cultures.African literatureHistory and criticismAfrican literatureHistory and criticism.809/.896Killam G.
